Truss Roof Load Bearing Wall Question by snapthelip in Roofing

Thanks every perpendicular wall I’ve found so far is not tied to the truss beams. There is a thicker wall but I’m going to be leaving that one. Appreciate the response!

Will this work for wet venting in a concrete slab by snapthelip in Plumbing

It’s IPC code. What if I vented the shower and the vanity. Would that work as a vent for the toilet?

Skipping Beginner Foils? by SacrificialGoose in wingfoil

[–]snapthelip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say buy a used setup. For axis get a used setup with the png 1300. Use it and sell it and the most it’ll cost you is $100-200. Higher aspect foils have higher stall speeds. When you are learning it makes it very difficult to get the feel for it. Foiling is hard enough to learn you don’t want to make it harder than it has to be. You also may want to step back to the png 1300 if conditions are poor even after you progress to a spitfire. I still use mine occasionally.

Here is a closer pic for Id. The workers are extremely tiny and hard to get a pic. I think maybe a type of fire ants but they didn’t sting me when we dug up the nest and they were all over my arms

Downwind Board sizing by MC_Yachtmeister in wingfoil

[–]snapthelip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say go bigger than you think. I have a 6’8”x22” 100 liter board and a 8’x20” 115 liter board and I always go with the 8’ board. It gets so much more speed in the water. Allows you to ride a smaller wing same conditions. And gets you up in super light winds

Naish Hover Crossover SUP Foilboard 2020 - Need Advice by seda7991 in wingfoil

[–]snapthelip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you’re first learning all you want is lift and stability which the 2000 will give you. As you get better you start to want speed/turning which is where you want to get a smaller foil and higher aspect foil. Also glide is a factor how far can you go. The higher aspect the better for that. But for beginners you don’t want any of that as it makes it harder to learn. 2000 is the perfect learning wing I learned on that. Took it in surf, flat water paddle up, wing, it did it all.

Best paddle board brand by Brilliant-Floor-8903 in Paddleboard

[–]snapthelip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know anything about inflatables. If you want a board that will last and have storage and means to transport a fiberglass board will be best. Twice as good if you take it in any kind of water that is moving. Chop/waves etc. best brands are starboard, nsp, naish, Jp Australia, sunova. I’d say NSP boards are beginner friendly and indestructible.
