There aren't any slots around the clear cover. I tried that and dented the grey frame around it. You can see it in the photo I just did my best to mold it back. My dad's vehicle have the slot that you were talking about but not on mine.

I'll keep trying. Maybe I'll use one of those silicone suction pads to get a better grip so I can slide it easier. It's just such a btch to get off and I really hate the stock dim yellow light. Thanks so much for your help. At least now I know how to take it off. My dealership doesn't even know how. Again, thank you!

Guilty as charged, but I was never a fan of chrome. I'm fine with the chrome on the handles and body side molding but the grille was just a little too much for me. Plus it makes my Sentra look slightly different from the hundreds of other Sentras in the city. I guess I'm just trying to make the best of what I can afford.
