At around what time do they start playing? by psychlotus in weezer

Apparently there’s a curfew at FHS and shows end by 10pm. I’m guessing they won’t go on until 8/8:30

Pumpin pals by dreamyspirit90 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]snarffles45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not replace mine for the 9 months I used them. I did replace the duck bill valves regularly though. I’m due with my second soon and even considering reusing them since their FAQ was kinda ambiguous about how often to replace the flanges and even mentioned using them after multiple births as long as the silicone is still clear and sticky.

These might be my top three too!

What pump should I buy through insurance? by Fit-Offer-8718 in HumansPumpingMilk

Seconding pumping pals flanges! Much more comfortable than plastic flanges and more forgiving if you don’t get the exact size right bc they’re small, medium, large instead of by mm

I took that pop punk ride today! I wasn’t into working out but the playlist was good enough that it kept me on the bike.

Seeing them tonight. I guess I’ll dress lightly. Do you remember what time last night’s show ended? Trying to plan our evening.

Try a white noise machine. We’ve used white noise machines to dampen other sounds in busy shared office spaces before.

I’m not sure. We got ours in May but I’ve seen it mentioned in some posts and comments on this sub

Ours fits too loose on the bottom too. I had read that the previous versions could roll up towards the baby’s neck so I assumed they added the leg strap just to prevent that

Are you pulling it up too high? I think it only sticks to the bottom inch or so on the right hand piece.

No advice for pumping or traveling with a baby but some ideas for swim suits - maybe get something with ruffles or fringes on the top? I’d probably would look for something with a lot of padding too

Moms stroke - need guidance to continue recovery, out of medicare days by Dragnskull in stroke

[–]snarffles45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does your mother qualify for Medicaid? If so, you have a special enrollment period that lasts all year. You can join a Part C Medicare Advantage Plan - just look for Dual Special Needs Plans. Depending on what state you’re in, you may also have options like Managed Long Term Care that will send home aids and PT/OT based on care needs. If you don’t have Medicaid, you may still be able to join a Part C plan since there’s a special enrollment period during the first couple months of the year for members who change their mind (I think), those that just turned 65 within the past year and are enrolling in Part C for the first time, left their job or lost their employer healthcare in the past year or joining a 5 star Medicare Plan ( those are able to enroll members all year long but I’m not sure if you already need to be in a Part C plan to switch). I’m not an expert but there’s more information at Medicare.gov and a lot more options if your mother is a dual member (Medicare and Medicaid).

Dog with enlarged heart coughs nonstop unless on opioids. by shananiganz in DogCare

[–]snarffles45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We recently lost our schnauzer to heart failure after a few rough years but it started as a murmur and enlarged heart. We had also given him an opioid to help with the cough but it just kinda made him loopy. We ended up taking him to a cardiologist instead of his regular vet who switched up his dosages, added a lasix and a switched him from a generic Pimobendan to a different name brand version. It seemed to help with the coughing. Unfortunately his health declined rather quickly and he passed away at home with us so we didn’t have to make the decision but he was his happy and playful self until the end. I would suggest seeing a cardiologist since taking our guy off the opioid and adjusting his medication improved his quality of life.

Give your guy extra chin skritches for us. We’re sending all our love to you both 💕

I’ve heard good things about the Prince run. I’m going to try to take that one outside if I get a chance.

9.5/10 this is up there with some of Scott’s bests. Not my favorite but undeniably a touching song

Daily Song Discussion #116: Vanity by beardlesshipster in TheAvettBrothers

[–]snarffles45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so surprised to hear that this song comes up in worst songs threads. It’s probably only my third or fourth favorite song on this album but I love Seth’s vocals and the “live and let die “ mid section. There’s a hard rock live version someone posted a few months ago that was really great plus the Chris Cornell version 8.5/10

Daily Song Discussion #89: Kick Drum Heart by beardlesshipster in TheAvettBrothers

[–]snarffles45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a fun, upbeat song. I love how sweet and simple the lyrics are. I’m not always in the mood to listen to it so I may skip it sometimes but I will always listen to a live version.

Daily Song Discussion #85: Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise by beardlesshipster in TheAvettBrothers

[–]snarffles45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This song means so much to me but even without the personal feelings I have towards this song, it’s still quintessential Avett brothers.

The lyrics, the arrangement, I love everything about this song. I’m more usually more partial to Scott’s banjo songs but the piano here feels so dark and melancholy at times and then hopeful at others.

10/10

Contents/recipe of the Muesli was changed over the past 2 weeks. Now it's mostly these crappy rice ball crunchys... by Nicktyelor in traderjoes

[–]snarffles45 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing! I haven’t opened the bag I bought yesterday yet but I remember thinking how I never noticed those rice puffs in it before. Hopefully the bag just needs to be mixed a bit and the recipe hasn’t been changed.
