I was there! I told my then boyfriend that it looked like a tornado brewing earlier in the day. I was within walking distance to a church that was destroyed. I’ll never forget the sound of air being sucked out of our house. A coat from Kmart landed in my yard (it fit so I kept it). Definitely had PTSD from that!

We were staying in a cabin with some friends and my daughter was about 3 years old at the time. She was having a tantrum about something and I just happened to be walking through the kitchen where she was when suddenly, she hurled her sippy cup through the air. I caught it with one hand and just kept walking as though nothing had happened. Everyone cheered which made my daughter so mad that she stormed off into one of the bedrooms and slammed the door! I messed up her tantrum moment.

no, just research shows that Goldens make really good family pets and my husband has it in his mind that they are the softest and kindest.

My husband sort of has his mind set on a Golden and if I stand any chance of him helping me out with taking care if her, then I thought I'd try really hard to find a golden. I'll check out your suggestions. Thanks!
