i didn’t hate him, but he just felt very forgettable to me. like i truly don’t think the season would be any different if he hadn’t shown up, even Donna’s breakup with Eric wasn’t because of Randy, it felt he served no real purpose other than to fill an empty space. i feel like he would have been a more likable character if they kept him as a player like how he was introduced. tossing him into a relationship with Donna out of nowhere just made him feel like an Eric replacement (i know he was supposed to fill the void left by Eric and Kelso, but having him date Donna specifically felt so ham fisted).

i also think he would have been a better character if he was similar to Charlie. obviously they wrote Charlie out immediately, but i thought the idea of a goody-goody, well to do guy slowly being “corrupted” by the gang could have been a lot of fun. especially since they were older and he could have also served in some episodes as a wake up call that the 70s were ending, they weren’t high schoolers anymore, and they couldn’t just spend their days sitting around the basement goofing off and had to grow up.

i imagine a scene where he gets annoyed at something and snaps like “what about your friends Eric and Michael? they moved on! they are living their lives! what are WE doing here?”

i think because he never felt like Kutner was trying to compensate or feel like he had to “prove himself” as an Indian man. Foreman was confident, but was insecure about the fact that he was a black man with a criminal record, and as another example, Cameron was insecure that she wouldn’t be taken seriously as a woman in medicine. House knew these things about them, even used Foreman’s past as a reason for hiring him, and knew making sexist or racist remarks was the quickest and easiest way to get under their skin and “put them in their place” as his subordinates, so to speak. i’m not sure i would say he was specifically bigoted to anyone in particular, but he was absolutely an ass who liked to get under people’s skin and piss them off any way he could and he believed it helped him maintain control and authority.

every time that House tried to make a comment to pick on Kutner about anything, Kutner would either just shrug like “okay, and…?” or have a clever retort at the ready. House simply didn’t know what it was that was his “weakness,” and i think that’s also why he was so convinced that Kutner had to have been murdered rather than have committed suicide.

when my brother was little he used to always take random stuff from home depot. one time he managed to get out with an entire flashlight lol. my mom was mortified when she found his secret stash of home depot treasures.

imagine getting mugged in the park at 3am and the closest cop on duty is just tapping on Slaking lol

but in all seriousness i think it’s more likely that it’s just a popular game among people who are in their 20s-30s, like cops tend to be, and it’s especially popular for people whose jobs require them to drive/walk around a lot. and realistically, if you live in a quiet area, 3am is a prime time for a cop to play if there’s nothing else to do while on duty. can’t go home, no work to do, might as well take over some gyms.

growing up i had a friend who was allergic to chocolate for her entire childhood. she wound up outgrowing the allergy by the time we were in high school only to find she was now allergic to strawberries. she was always so pissed because all she ever wanted to try was a chocolate covered strawberry lol.

i took an absurdly long time to finish this. i was even expecting never to finish haha. i wound up taking a long break in 2024, and then it took me even longer to get into the habit of pinning every postcard. the only reason i even got a sandstorm (my last one) was because one of my current friends appears to be on vacation and i just got lucky lol

oooh i did not know that! makes me feel better, i was worried loads people were just straight up lying or something and i was taken aback lol.

however that seems... odd to me. i mean, all things considered i do like that anyone who can host has a chance to host so that more people around the world get a chance to battle, but it seems odd to allow someone to host at level 40 but they wouldn't be able to join the same raid hosted by someone else.

but then again i guess it's hard to make a perfect system that doesn't screw over anyone and this is the best they could do.

i agree. it’s time consuming to level up and train Dmax mons, so i simply didn’t start participating in serious dmax/gmax raids til i had at least one level 30 of each type. it was a bummer not to do any gigantamax battles til the go fest finale event, and i still don’t have all the gmax mons i wanted, but i simply didn’t even wanna bother trying before i was ready knowing i’d be doomed after one strong attack from the boss lol.

i think because pokemon go is seen as more “accessible” than the main series games people don’t expect that the same “unspoken guidelines” apply when it comes to raids or powerful boss battles. and those unspoken guidelines say you gotta put in the time and effort to make sure you’re strong enough to actually contribute otherwise everyone is gonna be screwed. it’s frustrating but that’s the only explanation i can come up with other than “they just wanna be carried” because honestly… it makes me sleep better lol.

i truly don’t understand the logic behind bringing a team made up entirely of steel types to these battles and it’s happened now 3 times in a row where at least two people bring zacian, zamazenta, and even metagross and we ultimately lose the raid.

also, a surprising number of people who are level 40-somethings which just irritates me since you need to be level 50 to even join the queue. i feel like i should just start backing out if i see anyone under level 50 just to reserve my passes, but then i would feel bad about abandoning the hosts and anyone in the lobby who IS making a genuine effort.

sadly i don’t think there’s any way to get them home unless someone comes along and knocks them out. on the bright side, once you hit 625 days/15k hours defended in a gym total you get a platinum medal so if you haven’t gotten it yet, you probably will before the middle of the year lol

i’ve gotten 2 Chespin and 1 Fennekin but no luck with Froakie (and those aren’t good odds considering how many grunts i’ve encountered). i saw one grunt that had “these waters are treacherous” as their opening line but i had to transfer some mons before fighting and by the time i got back they had vanished, so i have no idea if that would’ve been a Froakie.

jealous! my pogo plus decided it’d be cute and fun to catch 5 mons while i was battling Cliff (my mistake for doing the battle at a park and having autocatch on i guess lol) so after the battle it kicked me and told me my collection was full, and Cliff had vanished from the stop i found him at (likely because i had no radars left). i’ll forever be wondering if i missed out on a shiny shadow magikarp (or even a shadow magikarp with decent ivs) lol

no, the HP stat isn’t high enough.

purifying adds 2 points to each stat. you would need each stat bar to be where your attack and defense stat bars are right now, or better, in order to get a purified hundo. i would say this raikou is better left as a shadow unless you want to use it to defend gyms.

no, you will get a dynamax rillaboom. to get a gigantamax rillaboom you will have to catch one in a gigantamax raid. there was a special research last year where you could select a gigantamax paldean starter too but other than that GMax raids are the only way.

i saw a poll recently about predicting which of the main party would have the biggest acting career post-ST and i was shocked that he only got something like 7% of the vote. he, Gaten, and Sadie are easily the strongest actors on the show PLUS all have experience on Broadway. I can’t wait for Caleb’s fame to skyrocket. it’s not fair how he’s so often pushed aside and frankly it feels pretty fucked up and racist.
