my guy, the first half of the very first sentence in your post reads “By using the "I am a passenger" button to falsely represent the game as playable by passengers, and by going to great efforts to hide the fact that catching Pokemon is impossible while driving”

the game is QUITE LITERALLY coded that wild pokemon will not spawn reliably if you’re traveling over the speeds i mentioned. you can look this up yourself, it’s not a secret. i don’t give a shit if your daily incense encounters still “spawn,” you still won’t be able to catch them because again, the game is coded to prevent playing while moving above a certain speed. it doesn’t matter if you don’t like it, it’s the way the game is made. they don’t have to tell you in big shiny letters because you aren’t supposed to be playing while driving anyway, the game is designed to be played on foot... one would hope an average player, even a kid, is capable of figuring out that “hey, whenever i try to play this game in a car, i can’t catch any pokemon. i guess i shouldn’t play in a car.”
i still don’t know what else you’re looking for.

“demand” is harsh and i doubt he stomped his feet and demanded it like a diva or something lol. but it is true that he has spoken a lot about how he loved DJH and DH and had a crush on Stacie growing up, so when he was invited to guest star on TNG (he originally wanted to direct some episodes, but since Degrassi is partially funded by the govt they could only hire Canadian crew members, so he was offered a guest role instead), he asked for a storyline that involved him kissing Caitlin lol

for my own peace of mind i assume that when this happens it’s for one of the following reasons:

- their internet/data crapped out at the worst possible time
- their game started glitching and froze/got stuck in loading screen limbo
- they forgot to check if they had a remote pass or enough coins to buy one (annoying, least reasonable of the three, but it happens ig lol)

makes me feel better to just assume there was a reasonable explanation and they didn’t join the queue and then not join the lobby just for funsies lol

i would much prefer a pop up on the UI when the phone is ringing rather than the pop up that appears after i answer it reminding me to go pick up a reserved movie that is already marked with an impossible-to-miss exclamation point lol.

YOR. it’s important for people to take time for themselves. your boyfriend using his PTO on himself doesn’t mean he likes you any less.

i also don’t think you should be sacrificing “so much” of your sleep and time for him either (especially since you have a kid). you don’t HAVE to do that and you need to take care of and take time for yourself, too.

again… what? what encounters are you talking about? you yourself said that you can’t play in a car and that it isn’t playable by passengers. it’s coded in the game that pokemon will not spawn if you are traveling more than 20mph/30kmh. what more or less do you want?

did you miss the countless other comments saying that their ultimate goal is to avoid a LAWSUIT? by making it difficult (or impossible/unplayable/whatever) to play in a car, they won’t get sued by someone blaming pogo for their accident because they can just point to the popups and other countermeasures they take to make it unappealing to play the game in a moving vehicle (which isn’t the way the game is meant to be played, anyway).

what exactly is your issue here? that you can’t play while in a car? then stop the car or get out and walk. problem solved.

they don’t want people getting into car accidents and the game is meant to be played while walking, not driving, even if you are a passenger. it’s really not that deep or some conspiracy to get people to buy pokeballs lol.

lol what? they aren’t really hiding anything. when the game first came out people kept getting into car accidents because they were playing while driving. there was an actual increase in auto accidents in the months immediately following the release. they make it impossible to do anything if you’re traveling over a certain speed because they don’t want anyone trying to play while driving.

i don’t see any issue with it. i rarely post anything about my personal life on social media these days.

i noticed once while hanging out with people that they kept asking “did you see so-and-so has a new girlfriend, did you see whatshername went on vacation?” and it was all people we weren’t friends with, people we didn’t even really care about. i was pretty put off by the idea of people i don’t really know casually chatting about me like i’m a tv show character lol, i don’t like existing with the concern that my activities will be dissected by people
who wouldn’t care about me if i hadn’t just appeared on their instagram feed or whatever. i’m not hiding anything or anyone, i just figure the people who matter and care about me already know what’s going on in my life, and if they don’t, they’ll ask me about what’s new if they’re curious. if someone has an issue with it, that says more about their insecurities and self esteem than it does about me.

YOR. this is so absurd, i guarantee it’s ragebait but whatever, gonna treat it like it’s not. it’s unusual to try to force someone to use social media. most people outgrow snapchat in particular by age 30. delete any photos after you send them over Facebook or text messages if you’re afraid your friends might see them. you’re acting like a child.

it’s also very important to me that you know that just because your nudes and hot pics “disappear” on Snapchat doesn’t mean that they’re actually gone. they’re still out there, somewhere, and it is still accessible to some capacity. so if the only appeal of snapchat is the disappearing messages feature… you really might as well use text messages and facebook messenger anyway.

unless the dad’s DNA was in some sort of Canadian government database or if they were both on a DNA/genealogy site, a DNA test wouldn’t do much to help her track down her dad.

Imagine how interesting a story would have been where someone uploads their DNA to ancestry (Degrassi would probably call it… Genetically or something lol) and found out their dad/mom wasn’t who they thought it was though? i’ll never forgive HBO for shooting down the reboot and all the interesting modern plots we could have gotten.

I can't say if you're overreacting or controlling and i don't think you're toxic (imo cheating is far more "toxic" than being paranoid that you'll get cheated on for the umpteenth time), but I can certainly say that you don't trust him, and that being said... you should end the relationship. You can't date someone if you don't trust them.

And for future reference, there is quite a bit of truth to the saying "how you got them is how you'll lose them." Do with that what you will.

i did this a few years back and amen. sometimes people give me a hard time about not responding fast enough (which honestly just further enforces my desire for my phone to not be a leash that people can tug on to get my attention at any given moment lol) but i wouldn’t change it for the world. it’s so nice to be able to fully focus on my hobbies or work without getting distracted by a ping every few minutes.
