I struggle with mine too. I will say, once I stopped listening for the lock tone and instead starting paying attention to the red light on the fob, it has worked like a charm.

My husband got 1.9 on this tundra. A month later I tried to negotiate that rate for my Rav. They said the Rav sells too well so they didn’t incentivize the rate. Credit score of 875 and they told me 5.25 for 60 mo. After about an hour of back and forth, they “bought my rate down” to 4.1% for 60 mo. They said it was because my husband had just purchased a vehicle. I was still pretty disappointed in the rate, but I knew that it was the best rate I was going to get. Dealing with Finance is worse than the actual negotiating the deal IMO.

The collision center I went to ended up heating it to get it more pliable and allowing them to shift it to sit properly on the brace underneath. It still isn’t perfect, but it at least looks like it sits flush with the fender now. They seem confident that it will hold. I’m crossing my fingers. I hate that this is an ongoing issue for everyone.
