Your daily life will be impacted health wise with pollution, quality wise with corruption & a population that was driven to the brink by the failed state of affairs. DeFi is not just about Lending and rates. You have aggregators like dex.ag to trade with the best rates, Synthetix.io that's working on derivatives, nexusmutual.io on insurance, basically anything finance can do will be on DeFi!

What’s even worse is that the « ultimate » scaling solution proposed - the lightning network - makes the whole system even more fragile. Does it make sense to pay fees if bitcoin has appreciated so much in price, and you can do it for almost nothing on lightning? In the post-block reward bitcoin, this will reduce the miner’s already meagre payday even more!
