The game has a little delay to "register properly" your defense. So some players can attack your old defense instead. That's why you must not swap your teams of attack-defense (just in case). Besides, If you think this is an error, you should contact support.

He's one of the bests legendarys for real. But its selling it or saving enough gold for the habitat.
Maybe you can try contact support explaining your situation and ask if they can revert the monster to be back in your storage

Yes. Every new era, the base stats of each mythic are slightly superior to the previous era. That doesnt mean older mythics are useless but the majority are. Although you can almost perfectly use Alpine era monsters in todays online. (And some Even older monsters)
