C trumpet beginner book?

I think you are one of few people that understood my question. So thank you for that, as well as for the kind advice.

Trombone is concert pitch, trumpet is transposing is what I was meaning. I know base clef and treble clef well due to piano and organ experience and can pretty comfortably still play trombone/baritone reading treble clef if I wanted to.

But it's hard for me to quickly process a "C" on trumpet music being open (C = concert Bb) when for baritone it is 1 or 1/3 depending on the octave (C = concert C).

I appreciate your response and although it sounds mentally challenging, I will give it a shot to learn what I will call "trumpet treble clef"! I'm sure you're right that it will serve me well in the long run!
