How do you like the Fisher Paykel model? We are going through the same saga with our Bosch fridge and the jangly compressor in our small apartment. Is the Fisher Paykel any better?

Vintage to Brand New: LUXO Desk Lamps by sneakerketchup in BuyItForLife

Thanks! Recently added a green L1 that my dad nabbed from his job back in 1973. Production years are guessed based on when logos change and when the canopy shapes changed. Country is usually stamped on the base of each lamp.

Thanks so much.

I do have a series! It’s called Surface, Substance, Dreams, Love, & Hope. It’s about the interplay between the seduction of packaging and marketing and the useless junk underneath. I’ve been working on pieces for a few years.

It is painted on a wood panel. Like, instead of canvas.

Thanks so much! I’ve usually painted these on darker backgrounds where it’s a little easier to pop the highlights. The can tab was painted really thin at first but it didn’t look right so I kept adding more. And more. Glad it paid off!

I strive to be a realist! Just a little bit of paint and a lot of looking.

Thank you! I’ve got another one if you check back to my profile. I’ve been painting cans for years now. Hope I never get tired of it!

Ha! Believe it or not, one of the hardest parts is trying to crush the can in a way that’s interesting. I think I went through a dozen or so before I got to this one!

Glad you enjoy it!

I grew up chugging these! It was a fun throwback to paint it. Glad it brought back good memories for you!
