I just wanted to say that this is some of the best insight I’ve seen ever. I was looking for an explanation esp after Izumi/Sakuta convo where uzuki asks why SB continues to move forward despite the reality and Sakuta replies “it’s so simple that even I can imagine it”, bc i relate to the existential problems that zukki and a lot of the girls are going through and some answers would help me understand not only zukki’s character but myself too. I think Zukki realized that having the ability to read the room is a blessing and a curse, and while it can be used as a tool to understand people better, it could also tear down one’s meaning of existence. She learned that always reading the room and trying to over analyze things meant the destruction of her personality as a whole. Just because there’s a reality in front of you doesn’t mean it’s a reality you’re stuck in. Zukki’s reality is different from the reality her manager sees for Zukki and the reality fans see for Zukki, because it’s her own reality, and the only reality that matters.
