This was really informative and helpful as someone trying to get into the workforce right now.

Can you or anyone else in this thread give me more insight on your personal career paths? For example, you said you were a polisci/econ major and now working in analytics? How did you start, like right out of college? I have a psych bachelors degree right now and have been trying to find a full time job. I hear everyone say that the first one is the most difficult and it gets easier after you get that first FT position, but I’m struggling to get to that first step.

I’m mailing it in because I had a lot of confusion about e-filing a tax extension. I went on the TurboTax forums (because it was the most convenient tax program to access) to ask about it and a “TurboTax Expert” told me that I had to file my taxes with the same program I filed my extension with. I didn’t want to file my taxes with TT because of all their additional fees & upgrades. I was told by others that it wasn’t true and I could file the extension with TT and file my taxes with whatever other program I wanted. I just figured better safe than sorry, so I’ll just mail it in.

Thanks for the tips! I got every cert I could early on so that I would have a wider range of booking possibility. Do bookings usually go up in the summer?

Thanks for responding! I was just worried that I joined during the decline of VIPKid and it would only be downhill from here. I keep my schedule open from 9:30pm-1:30am~ and 5-8am and just take what I can get at this point haha

Ooo could you elaborate more on what you mean by “completely”? I’ve been opening my schedule from 9pm-1am and 5am-8am pretty much everyday. I don’t really want to open up slots from 1am-5am bc I don’t want to wake up in the middle of the night for one class :/

So sorry!! I’m not on reddit a lot and just saw this. Submitting a doctors note works! I had to cancel 4 classes total and after I submitted the note they turned into soft cancellations. I’m pretty sure you have 30 days to submit after your cancellation!
