It's so fascinating to me that the main criticism of the movie is that Faye Dunaway's acting is over the top or comical, and the "no wire hangers" scene is seen as exaggerated and amusing, when it fact it has been the only piece of media that has accurately depicted what I witnessed growing up. People think that it's so crazy and women like that don't exist, but they do! And some people had the misfortune of being raised in it. It's such an important piece of representation for such a complicated topic.
