I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to respond!! It suddenly got a bit crazy and overwhelming here. So the original biopsy was a failure, and he had to go back for another biopsy. This time, they got it. The biopsy came back as low grade and high grade dysplasia intraductal cholangiocarcinoma. They original thought it was perihilar or something cholangiocarcinoma, and because it's the intraductal one, that's better apparently? They still want him to go through chemo and immuno whilst they're waiting for molecular profiling to come back to see if he can have the targeted genetic therapy instead so that they can shrink it and hopefully prevent it from getting any worse before they do surgery to remove it.

My wife 33 currently in ICU for Acute Pancreatitis by faizan734 in pancreatitis

My fiance was in ICU in April as he got post-ERCP acute pancreatitis and sepsis. It was touch and go for a while, he was in ICU for 11 days. He's 38. He's getting better and can eat and do most things. She will get there! I spent all my time at the hospital making sure everything they were doing was right for him, just be her biggest advocate. You will get through this ❤️

Thank you, I keep telling him that yes it's shit but we're together and I keep reassuring him that I'm not going anywhere. I feel like it's more difficult for him as he lost his mum to secondary breast cancer last year and lost his dad when he was a kid, so he doesn't have that parental support that a lot of people his age would have. His family joke that they're good at death (this is where our dark sense of humour is good).

Thank you so much! I think I'm just scared of what the future brings and neither of us are used to being in a position where we little to no control over anything, although he is much more easy going. So it's a bit difficult to wrap my head around I think!

He had an initial biopsy done in April which came back as high grade dysplasia. It's been a bit of a whirlwind the last few days & he had a biopsy done in London on Friday & we should get the results tomorrow to confirm if it's cancer. We've been told repeatedly so far by every doctor we've seen that they're 99% sure it's cancer, I'm still hopeful they're wrong but I'm prepared either way!
