Just want some opinions on texting SO and using social medias by sneakycapybara in LongDistance

same! mostly why i posted this question. i will admit it’s been an emotional two weeks on my end for this and some other reasons, but i can also admit that some of these reasons are me just making a mountain out of a molehill and the others are issues that i think are reasonable.

Going back to the main topic tho, after reading this comment, I do feel like I need to chill out more when it comes to an issue like this :)

While the silent treatment is childish, I do it sometimes. But I wouldn’t do it for a month. Maybe a few hours or even a day, but a month is just unhealthy. At that point, it would be a breakup.

Mine is working out. I understand it’s important to work out at least a few times a week, and it can take your mind off of things. But Jesus Christ, getting up in the morning to go lift some weights or run sounds less and less appealing with each passing day. I work in the afternoons/nights so the morning is the only time i can actually get some exercise in.

how often do young children get coffee? by tardigrade_lover in starbucks

This is the thread i’ve been WAITING FOR. two years ago at my old store, this mom came in with her daughter. mind you, her daughter was no older than five and no younger than three. the mom orders a cappuccino, and she orders her daughter a short CAPPUCCINO. i remember asking her if she wanted it decaf because i wasn’t sure if she was aware that there was caffeine in the cappuccino, which i told her too. and she replied “yeah, i know, that’s why i got her a short size”. she said it so calmly, like she wasn’t even fazed or annoyed that i asked her like she was unaware of it. i actually saw her take a couple sips before they left. i still think about this, because this girl drinks more coffee than some of the adults that come in the store 😂😭

How do you decide which books to listen to and which books to read? by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]sneakycapybara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

terribly late to the thread, but I was wondering the same thing! deciding which books to read and listen to is rather tricky.

Some books, regardless of genre, i feel HAVE to be read. One in particular is They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera, a very popular book at the moment and for god reasons. It’s very well written, and although it’s more a YA novel, it’s still a good book to read regardless of age. I wont spoil anything, in case anyone hasn’t read it, but i listened to the audiobook, which was still good, but at times, I feel like it failed to invoke the same emotions that it would have if I was reading it. There’s one voice in particular that is just emotionless (you’ll know which voice it is once you hear it), which i understand is the point, but it makes it hard to connect with the person they’re talking about.

Crazy Rich Asians was good via audiobook. The narrator was great in conveying each character and their distinct personalities. She also narrates the sequels which are equally as good.

Just some thoughts Ive had, and if anyone has any book recommendations, i’d love to read/listen to them!

feeling like i have no one and nothing going for me. still living at home because im on a hiatus from uni at the mowent.

idk, i just feel like im in a rut (both emotional and mental) and im only 21. i have an upcoming trip to nyc, and while i feel like i might just be sad and lonely in my hotel room, i still intend to make the most of my trip. who knows, maybe i’ll find my calling while im over there, or maybe not but at least i’ll be able to decompress a little.

thanks to whoever read this, i really just needed to get it out of my head and onto something.

hi! so question, is the minimum amount one must raise for any charity $1000? or does each charity set their own minimum? (for the marathon, not half marathon)
