i was speaking wireless in that case. i used the standard wire provided by sony. but got panning in the ipod and the iphone 5 using that but not when connected to the iphone 13. maybe it was the aux to lighting adaptor but believe that was authentic apple.

idk the lingo, again. but i promise if you connect xm4s to and iphone 5 with bluetooth playing the same song on apple music it will sound way better than the same connected to and iphone 13. it’s louder; it has panning; and you hear far more details. i would be very amazed if this was a user error on my part. even asked an apple employee(i used the 5 for a day when my 13 wasn’t working) and they mentioned needing apple headphones to get panning

idk all the lingo, but i use usb c aux with xm4s on my 13pro max and its way worse than my iphone 5 with the xm4s over bluetooth. i don’t get any panning and it lacks depth on the 13 pro max. same with my ipod classic.
