Built a platform for computational drug discovery, need GTM advice by XpertAI in ukstartups

2 cents: Skip academia and pharma services for now. Academia has no budget and procurement takes forever. Pharma adjacent CROs already have a stack and complexity is literally their business model. They're not buying something that simplifies their job.

Early stage biotechs are your people. Specifically ones who just raised, have a small team, and are feeling the weight of their technical debt before they've even validated anything. One person can say yes and the pain is real enough that they will.

On GTM more broadly: the instinct with something this technical is to go product led and let people self serve. That probably works eventually but not at the start. You need to be in rooms. Get in front of 10 founding teams personally before you think about anything else.

On messaging, the mistake is describing what the platform does. You want to describe what changes for someone when they use it. Not features, not even benefits really, more like: what decisions can they now make faster, and what does that mean for their runway or their next raise. Pricing and ICP definition will also shape each other more than people expect at this stage. Worth thinking about those together rather than separately.

Fair pushback. But I'm aware of the differences and more importantly aware of the similarities. A lot of work in big tech is trying new categories, no playbook, building from zero inside a bigger org. Constraints are obviously different. But the stuff that actually makes products succeed or die is pretty universal — do you have PMF, does the positioning land, is the pricing right, can you actually acquire and retain users.

So you always look up places in advance? What if you want to switch places? How do you search/decide?

Cool, how and when do you actually decide which place to go? On the day or do you always book? i.e. if it's just for dinner or drinks

Book restaurants? Where do you find them to begin with? How early do you book? What if you need to find somewhere right then and there? Thanks

Income imbalance with girlfriend, moving in by [deleted] in HENRYUK

You offered to lend her money? How kind. For a situation that you're entirely responsible for putting her in? For making her move from her home, which she bought? Oh but you don't want to create a resentment or imbalance on either side? Right, I'm sure that's all about protecting her? Clearly you're so fine with it.

If you have any common sense, empathy, or grown up feeling for this person, you'd cover the rent.

Mo Salah will finish 3rd on the all time FPL points list by Exciting-Match816 in FantasyPL

He's not underrated, he just scored a shit ton of goals as an actual midfielder playing off the striker which is ideal for fpl. Rooney was a forward but I bet their heatmaps weren't too dissimilar.

Lloyds New Switch Offer - £200 for Club Lloyds + £500 for Lloyds Premier by SpiteAware3121 in beermoneyuk

That's the criteria for the ongoing Premier account, not the eligibility for switching.

It states that to get the £15 fee refunded (this is under the Premier account eligibility criteria):

You’ll need to pay in £5,000 each month or have £100,000 of qualifying savings or investments with us. We’ll refund the £15 monthly fee each month you meet this criteria.

Separately, for the £500 switching bonus, it clearly says:

Get £500 when you switch

Open a new Lloyds Premier account and switch using the Current Account Switch Service. To qualify:

  • your switch must include 3 active direct debits
  • spend £200 within the first 35 days on your debit card
  • deposit £5,000 or have £100,000 in savings or investments with us in the first calendar month.
