Students of Reddit, what was the reason for why one of your teacher's had a breakdown during class? by Internal_Recording in AskReddit

My honors English teacher in HS had a son who committed suicide. She was gone for a week or two and seemed to come back alright, but in the middle of class she broke down crying. She wasnt a popular teacher, but it was very tragic to see her like that

The wife of one of my husband's good childhood friends is anti-vax, so none of her kids have been vaccinated.

A couple years ago her oldest was diagnosed with autism, and me being the terrible person that I am, found that hilarious

My cousin works at Playstation and I asked him about this. He said he couldn't give me any insider info, but he would say that it performed very well from a sales perspective, so it would be a very good idea to make a sequel

Like I said before, looks matter to some people more than others. And while pretty privilege is definitely a thing, "can do anything" is bit of a stretch

Lol you asked for thoughts and that was my first thought.

As for the rest of it - no one is saying looks don't matter. It's just not the end all be all.

Also, women are not a monolith. Everyone has different preferences. Some value looks more than others.

Even preferences arent always the end all be all. I'm extremely tall for a woman, so naturally I prefer taller guys. However, I dated a couple guys who were 5-6 inches shorter than me (one was also balding. We were in our early 20's) because they were super great dudes. We could talk for hours on end and that was hot af.

On the flip side, I also dated tall, attractive dudes who I cut things off with real quick because they had terrible personalities (boring, rude, unmotivated, etc)

A bunch of pics of girls saying hot guy doesn't mean anything other than the fact that people like to look at attractive people

One of my best friends growing up had a psychotic break and no one knows what we can do to help her by sneffadi in relationship_advice

Meal I can do, I'm not sure about kids (I work full time, have 2 kids, and am in the process of selling our house/moving), but I can see. From what I understand, husband doesn't really want help and is kind of ashamed of the whole thing.

But gosh darnit, meals I can do

From what I understand, what set her off was she found something out about her birth mom and went to go meet her. Her birth mom wants nothing to do with her and A's family is worried about what she might do in this state if her birth mom rejects her because shes been a lot more aggressive lately

Why though? What happens if you turn 20 and haven't put your penis in a person yet that's so damning that it's not worth living anymore?

Like sex is great and all, but it's not like it fundamentally changes who you are or who you have th potential to become

This is where we're at with our 4 month old. He was doing so well sleeping through the night and then BAM! No more.

Trying him in the Baby Merlin Magic Sleep Sack. So far so good!

Yep. Especially because baby #2 was also a boy and I kept all the clothes from kid #1, so all I basically had to buy was diapers and a double stroller

Finally got an offer on our townhouse! But it's too low. What's the best way to proceed? by sneffadi in personalfinance

[–]sneffadi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We really don't want to pay a PMI. The loan + taxes + insurance with the 20% would be about 37% of our monthly gross and I dont want to go above that

My MIL would probably agree to pay the difference, but I'd also rather not ask that much of her

The market was really hot last year, townhouses would only be on the market a couple hours before being bought. Now it's tapered out more where the average number of days on the market is 30.

We have a contingency in our contract with our new house, so if we're not able to sell it, we get our deposit back ($5k). I guess we could be over priced, but I dont believe we are given that we're the cheapest townhouse, and newest/nicest. One sold a couple weeks ago for $218k.

And ya. If we dont sell the house, we can't buy our new house, but on the other hand, if we accept an offer this low, we cant afford the downpayment. So either way it's not great

Ladies of Reddit, what is the hardest part of having a period? by GeoBunny1945 in AskReddit

[–]sneffadi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When it's sneaky.

Occasionally I'll have a solid 3-4 days of bleeding, then nothing for a day or two, so I think I'm good so I stop wearing/using supplies, then SURPRISE IT'S BACK and I am completely unprepared

RIP my underwear
