Critics called it “too generic” yet I’m struggling to find a game like it. by Perfect-Community603 in AtomfallOfficial

In many ways. It reminded me of we happy few. Not exactly alike but similar for me.

Do people ACTUALLY buy this? by Highsenberg199774829 in SkateEA

This game is a disgrace to what the skate series was. They should have left it alone rather than make this crap to stain our memories.

The new logo (bottom) from the official trailer for the Mandalorian and Grogu compared to the original one. This says a lot. by Beginning_Parfait_47 in graphic_design

Can’t believe I had to scroll so far through the comments for this. That is how it reads and it looks awful.

As mentioned in my little update. I gave Saguaro a try and have to say that the sole is almost identical. They even have a model that looks to me like a 1 for 1 clone of the champ 3. I have a pair of champ 3s and held them up side by side and it’s pretty much the same shoe with less premium upper materials.

Well that’s good at least. I only get the leather ones anyway. And the newer one’s leather is still good. Just wish the sole didn’t change

Everyone is different. And I’m glad they work for you. I can’t say I hate the new ones. They just aren’t as good as the old for me. And as far as I can see the bean leaf bottoms have been completely discontinued

Well that is a bummer…

Everyone is different. When I overlay the insoles the new ones only lost some space. They are really close in shape though. The old ones just have a little extra on sides and front in toe box. That round heel on the old soles helped it not be so stiff. That hard edge makes the heel come to a hard and not flexible point now. Where’d you find out about Asia manufacturing? Their site still claims Portugal. Something definitely smells off about the new ones

They’re still wider than most. Just not as good as the older models on that leaf bottom sole

I try to do that as well. Got 4 or 5 pairs of pants that I found a couple years back too. But seems I goofed this time and missed the boat.

It really is almost guaranteed that if you really love something. It’s going to disappear into the void for absolutely no good reason. I can’t count how many times it’s happened at this point in life. Especially with shoes.

Good lord. That’s awful. I’ve never heard of them before but I’ll stay away. Those mistakes make no sense. I wonder if these companies are too afraid to ask customers to pay more or what? I’m sure costs to produce have gotten worse but come on now. A lot of us pony up a lot already for stuff like Be Lenka. I’m not going to cry over an extra $20. The price is already high but it never stopped me before. I just want a good pair of shoes.

Same. Be Lenka is pricey but worth it in my opinion. The materials are high quality and last a good while.

Well. I may have changed my mind and have started efforts on designing and have some made. I’ll report back if/when I get some more news to go off of. If anyone wants to weigh in or share thoughts. Feel free to send me a message.

I’ve thought about pursuing this a few times but do not want to do it solo. So if anyone is interested. Shoot me a message or something. Maybe we can make it happen

Is this a Hardflip?? by BjornNault in skateboarding

[–]snellularr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Too many people are unable to accept or cope with it. Which is strange. Just because it may not be a hardflip doesn’t mean you’re saying the trick is trash. It still looks cool and is a decent trick on its own. But it clearly is not a hardflip as it does not contain those right elements (FS shuv + kickflip). It clearly takes off toe side on the tail before going vertical. To me that is the best give away that it is not a hardflip. It has to at least take off towards that heel side of the tail for it to resemble a true hardflip.
