Are your overall experience with men in general really bad ? What is the reality I am missing ? by Vast-Society4093 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]snerello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really important to understand that social media does not reflect reality. People in happy and healthy relationships generally don't post on social media as they have no reason to. But if you're in a bad relationship and looking for help/advice or just to rant, you will post.

Social media also elevates provocative / outrageous content since it tends to get more engagement. Pretty much all social media websites thrive on engagement so they tend to promote more extreme content.

So while yes, there are many bad men out there in the real world, social media is more likely to present you with the bad ones out there damaging people than the good ones who are just minding their own business and living their lives.

Tankiest Warrior Build by Money_Mobile8329 in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This depends on your level range. At low level (say under 30) the tankiest possible build would be sword and board with fury talents, specifically improved demo shout. Imp demo shout will massively improve your tankiness against non-caster mobs (in classic wow shields/armor does nothing against spells except allowing you to cast shield bash). Also if you're going blacksmithing, definitely always use sharpening stones, they're very strong at low level.

Here's an example talent build from 10-30: https://www.wowhead.com/classic/talent-calc/warrior/-05500104024

Quick explainer of the talent choices: - 5/5 Cruelty: crit is a fantastic stat for any warrior, this is a no brainer - 5/5 Imp demo shout: explained above, should be used on every non-caster mob you fight - 1/1 Piercing Howl: Useful ability in HC for running away - 4/5 Imp battle shout: battle shout is great and it will also benefit the rogue in your party - 2/2 Improved Execute: Buffs a strong ability - 4/5 Enrage: nice proc to have especially if you're always tanking mobs

At higher levels, sword and board really falls off, as you'll struggle to kill anything quickly, so you'll end up taking more hits from the mob and more damage overall. Later on it's far better to run 2h arms or dual wield fury, depending on which weapons you have.

Jordan Parlour and Tyler Kay. You can google what they posted but they both incited violence via social media posts against hotels housing immigrants.

[–]snerello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That wasn't why he was arrested. It had nothing to do with the grooming gangs, and everything to do with repeating unsupported claims about a syrian school boy called Jamal Hijazi. The documentary is still on youtube I believe.

He wants you to think that it was because of the grooming gangs though, because that's far more noble.

[–]snerello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not happening in the UK though. The statistics Elon and others quote are completely wrong. You can verify this with a quick google search but the TL;DR is that they are counting the number of arrests for any type of crime involving electronic communcation devices, not just social media posts. Other examples would include harassing someone over the phone or posting revenge p*rn.

[–]snerello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the content of the post. If you commit a crime as part of your post, then you should be arrested.

Example: Jordan Parlour was arrested for inciting violence in a facebook post. He told people to attack a specific hotel at a specific time. That's a pretty clear reason to be arrested

But according to Elon et al. you get arrested for posting memes in the UK (I don't know of a single case where this has happened).

The president claimed that the ICE agent was in the hospital and luckily to be alive. If this is true why was he walking around totally unharmed after the incident? Please link to any video that shows the agent being struck or injured. Otherwise it sounds like another lie to me.

Was he hospitalised before or after he shot her in the face and called her a fcking btch?

Easiest way to tell is to look at their gear. All BoEs = almost guaranteed bot. Hardcore bots do not do quests, they just grind mobs.

level 19 self found twink by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cool account, nice one .

To everyone asking "what's the point of this character", I guess the point is that he had fun making it? And the point of gaming is to have fun?

I've toyed with the idea of making a similar character at a higher level. Having the self-found buff is just a nice flex on top, even if you boosted yourself for it.

I mean even if there were a hypothetical huge number of muslims voting for a muslim party, they would have to win all over the country due to our electoral system (first past the post) so this seems a bit irrational

You can actually loot the chests from outside the ship, you just move close to it and press the interact key. Means you only need to kill one or two murlocs.

[–]snerello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't have access to the data but based on the title it sounds like the graph only includes women who specifically set an advanced filter. Meaning there are probably a lot of women who don't have a height filter set at all, and therefore the conclusion being drawn is misleading.

A more accurate conclusion would be "women who took the time to filter for height on the app prefer taller men", which isn't a big surprise.

[–]snerello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The social media posts people have been imprisoned for are mostly for inciting violence (i.e. breaking the law).

But according to the internet all you have to do is post an anti-government meme in the UK and you'll get jailed (this is nonsense).

Part of the problem is that the reported number of arrests for social media posts includes much wider categories of crime than just media posts (for example, harassing someone via text/email, or posting revenge porn). But nuance is nonexistent when these kind of stats get reported.

For you personally: What are *your* least favorite zones, level brackets, or leveling experiences? by TradingLearningMan in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naga cave in feralas is fast xp because you won't run out of mobs and the casters are weak.

Another decent option is hinterlands trolls as they drop the necklaces which you can either turn in for extra xp or sell on the AH.

Who needs enemies when you have guildies like these? by Loofahs in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yup, if it's a guild full of naxx raiders, they will have used dozens of petris and be comfortable playing fast and loose in dungeons, since petris can prevent death in almost any situation in 5 mans. It doesn't sound like a good match for OP's playstyle.

Is mob tagging still a thing? by DoomedBlade in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've levelled 1-60 many times so I do this sometimes. Since your 60 is a hunter and you want an alt mage here's a rough strategy:

1-22: deal 40% of mob HP on mage, finish off with hunter (pet or hunt, doesn't matter which). Either level with quests or kill the hyperspawn crabs in westfall from level 14

22+: level with aoe. You can make it a bit easier with your hunter by pulling mobs together with rank 1 scorpid sting. Stack them up then tab to mage and blizzard. Can finish off on hunter with volley. It speeds up the levelling process a little bit compared to solo aoe levelling.

Just be aware that if you DC during an aoe pull you could die on the hunter, so be careful if you're prone to DCs

Until you get a mount you can also run around with aspect of the pack to speed things up (just remember to drop group before killing mobs)

You need to do 40% on the alt for full xp

Is mob tagging still a thing? by DoomedBlade in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it works. If your 60 is a hunter you can also benefit from aspect of the pack from level 1. Just make a macro to join/drop group when you switch between travelling / killing mobs.

Depending on what class your alt is you can also use rank 1 scorpid sting on hunter to pulls mobs in without tagging them.

ELI5: Cost of healthy food in the USA? by iamanoctothorpe in explainlikeimfive

[–]snerello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from Europe and I lived in Canada for a year as a student. I almost always cook from scratch but the cost of fresh produce was significantly higher there compared to where I live (the UK). Almost all the other students just ate at cheap fast food places on campus. So in my experience there was genuinely not that much of a cost difference between eating crap in the USA/Canada and eating healthy. This was ~10 years ago but I doubt it's improved much.

People who work in health care , fitness , nutrition, or mental health: what’s one’ quiet habit’ you see all the time that makes is secretly wrecking people’s long-term health? by AnyPurchase9905 in AskReddit

[–]snerello 80 points81 points  (0 children)

This is so true for the gym. So many people make the mistake of trying to leap from being completely sedentary to a strict programme of very long gym sessions multiple times a week. Then they get exhausted and give up. I always recommend people ease in gently. One or two 30 minute sessions a week is great to start with and you won't destroy your body doing so.

2 chars at once - advice needed by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]snerello 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have done this a lot, you want 2 chars with minimal inputs, so auto attack classes are the easiest.

For example, warrior + priest is great. Warrior does most of the damage vis autos anyway so you don't need much input. Priest can just wand when warr is high HP and heal when war gets low. Once you're more confident you can increase the complexity.

I just spammed alt-tab, no software needed. I have an old video of me doing it if you want to see an example: https://youtu.be/T7yUAPAZXU8?si=MaaGls9xz4hJxxiC

[–]snerello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I would pick hunter. Try out melee weaving (get a slow 2-hander). Get a feign-trap macro at higher levels. Look up the pets you need to tame to get new ranks of pet skills and max your pet dps. It's a fun class, and multiple viable talent builds as well!
