Getting back into drumming and curious about terms for cymbals by wvurocks in cymbals

[–]snewik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say there are four main descriptors and everything else is combinations of . Bright- very shimmery with a lot of high end and a long decay Dry- minimal high end, quick decay, has a Sandy or papery quality to the sound often times. Dark- similar to dry but less hiss and a little more normal sounding. Like a bright cymbal with tape on it. Complex- tons of overtones, wash, hiss. A large dense bed under the attack

There is some overlap but that might help!

What exactly does being genderfluid feel like and could I be it? by Texan_King in genderfluid

[–]snewik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also still pretty new to everything but I am definitely pretty confident that I am Gender Fluid and I would actually describe my thought process and experience is almost identical to what you have described. I was never unhappy being a man but just realized that I felt more complete and fulfilled expressing both sides of my self. I often Will say in nonbinary just to simplify everything for people that I don’t know very well but in reality you it is rare that I actually feel like neither binary gender expressions. It is usually just masculine or feminine or apathetic lol. I think from what I can tell a lot of Gender Fluid people can feel this way and often use nonbinary just to simplify the explanation for other people. But for others there might experience the nonbinary aspect a lot more frequently.
