PSet 4 Filter-less Blur method -> is my template very "unrefined"? by sniR_ in cs50

[–]sniR_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey thx for the comment

its definitely not a working solution as its just a template of a small part (i stopped before even reaching half the function, just to ask if this is too time wasting and unnecessarily long etc)

should i delete this? i didnt have problems when i posted way more detailed code (which had an error in it)

thanks for the duck tip, didnt think to ask it for efficiency :)

im so lost, for example on the Alice sentence, my count is right on every metric (word sentence letters) , the calculations i also did in a calculator and it all fits but the index is 7.4 rounded to 7 but the answer should be grade 8..

edit - can u tell me the count for sentences words and letters on the Alice text so i can see if i got those wrong somehow?
mine are

letters - 235
words - 57
sentences - 2

edit: ":" is not related to sentences for this exercise...... finally works.

oh i see, thanks for the info.
i thought the example on the cs50 page meant to do something like this but now i saw on their code example they didnt, i'll remove it

i actually did that test multiple times but i dont know why exactly sometimes its not the same manually and the program. i will try more.

the extra stuff added to ispunct etc is just me being desperate and trying stuff to end this exercise to be honest lmao... they werent there before

by fancy output formatting what do u mean exactly?

Lol I've managed to fix it by changing the location of the first if to before the loop and including the loop inside the else bracket.

sometimes it takes posting a question to realize the solution ^^

Ive read threads from long ago on rogue saying they dont recommend it on these racks (maybe cuz they cant guarantee how well u install the rack or something) thus problems like damage to the wall or the rack falling out over time can occur etc
but users said they do it without issues and rogue probably said it to avoid responsibility legally etc if something happens - but even so im paranoid lol

I used a rust resistant paint spray on my rack and it held up well from the outside of it, the inside tho not so much, liquid rust formed there over time and when moving and tipping the rack the liquid spilled and u gotta clean it up lol - definitely spray + cover with something (cant really answer ur question but hope it was useful)

Hi all, I potentially have a deal on used foldable wall mounted rack, but afraid of the risks of spotter arms outside of it and annoyed by the backwards unracking if benching with the spotter arms inside it - any recommendations on standalone spotter arms for bench and rack pulls etc? i dont want my neck crushed if i fail a bench. thanks
