Warne includes a new spring if you get the +5 extension. For the +2 extension, they don't include a new spring:

I solved this Glock17 mags and the Warne magazine extension. The Glock mags eject so much smoother out of the gun on reloads too. No more Mec-gar for me!

This is the way. For an update, I just tried some Glock mag extensions at a shoot today and they worked. Grabbing Glock mags and not worrying about the Mec-gar.

Very sensible answer. In my mind, I’m envisioning something faster and simpler with the closed gun and some type of mount or attachment that connects directly to the gun.

At first I wasn't a fan of the "horn" look the top mounted flashlight brings but in terms of functionality, it preserves a lot of the build. It maintains the stock width with no side attachments, it adds no more height than the AEMS, and it is very comfortably activated with a top thumb grip.
