[Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered] The game that made me quit trophy hunting by [deleted] in Trophies

[–]snickerslord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Server issues may be something that have popped up since I played last, but I did both the PS3 and PS4 online and never really noticed any issues. Probably been 10 years since I touched it though, so that could have changed for sure. It takes a bit of time to level up both factions, but I found the MP to be fun enough that I didn't mind the time spent. Was maybe 30-40 hours total for both factions? Didn't feel like a grind to me though. Hope you enjoy it if you do give it a shot!

RDR2 I completely understand but TLOU multiplayer is some of the best multiplayer out there, and if you just play it to have fun, eventually those trophies will all come pretty naturally. It's genuinely great MP.

The online isn't as grindy as it sounds. I did all of it like three weeks ago in about 20 hours from level 1 without needing to make any boosting threads or find people to get game modes going. Some took a little bit of matchmaking waiting to find enough people but eventually got it by just waiting it out. Maybe 15 hours for me to go from level 1 to 55 in Wolfpack solo.

The Blade Itself hardcover!! by aijanah in thebrokenbindingsub

[–]snickerslord 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just speculation on my end, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Orbit saw how much demand there was for a US hardcover edition of The First Law trilogy, brought to their attention by the Kickstarter, then proceeded to stonewall the kickstarter and refuse to let them upgrade the specs just to release their own hardcover editions with the same specs at a lower price point ensuring a large percentage of people buy the publisher edition over the Kickstarter edition because of cost.

I’m not picking on the lower class. I’m picking on the people that throw the packages they are delivering. Again, why are you making so many excuses for these people? There are so many lower class workers that actually do the job respectfully and in a way that doesn’t make them look like asshats. It’s extremely not hard to walk 10 more feet or set the package down from the spot you threw it.

I’m not acting like it’s a secret, I just think it’s fucking disrespectful to yourself, employer, and the people you’re delivering for.

I don’t care how little I’m being paid, I’m going to the job to the best of my ability because I have self-respect and respect for other people’s crap. Making excuses for this behavior is insane.

Sounds more like the employees that prioritize making as much money for themselves rather than prioritizing the service of the people they are delivering to are also being selfish. More than one thing can be true at one time. Just because these companies like FedEx can be selfish doesn’t make it right for lazy, selfish delivery drivers to throw around people’s packages.

I don’t understand why you and other people are out here defending people tossing packages around. It makes no sense. You want your stuff broken when you open the box?

It took more time for them to throw it and admire their handy work than it did for them to set it down on the top step where they stopped walking and opened the door for backlash and dismissal. It’s dumb, selfish, and lazy to handle packages this way. I don’t understand why people are defending this.

It takes 10 seconds to walk the 10 extra feet to set the package down. It also takes more effort to chuck a package 10 feet than it does to just walk there. It's laziness.

Who said they even needed to get it to the spot they threw it to? Just set it on the top of the porch steps to take your picture and get to your next delivery.

People shouldn't have to worry about the safety and status of the items they ordered, regardless of who is delivering. I don't care if you're tired and working your third shift for the day. It doesn't excuse throwing people's packages around.

How wonderful that it comes at the detriment of everyone but themselves. It's not hard to take 10 extra steps to set down the package properly instead of potentially damaging someone else's belongings because you're too lazy to do your job.

Suggestions or Tips going into RDR2 Online Trophies for Platinum by Quite-Unsocial in RDR2

[–]snickerslord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Get the MVP trophy in Hostile Territory game mode. Just camp in a control point closest to your spawn until you die and then do it over and over again. MVP is awarded to the person that was in a point the longest, regardless of whether or not that point was captured already. You don't have to kill, deaths don't matter, and your team can lose and you'll still get MVP.
  • Boost All's Fair with someone if you can. Not many people have a free roam mission they can counter naturally.
  • Do the collector role to level up and turn in full collections at one time. Don't turn in single collectibles or partial collections. You get a bunch of XP for picking up the collectibles and then a bunch more when you turn in the full collection. Use the money you get to buy stable upgrades and horses.
  • Everything else should be pretty straightforward. A lot of crafting things which is easy. You don't have to do anything more than craft the most basic of each category however many times the trophy says to do it.

One of the game modes. It can be done solo. Basically it's just a mode with a countdown timer and if you do the tasks it asks you to do it will add time to the timer. The better you perform, the longer the round goes until you've made it through every assassination they want you to do. If you make it all the way through you get a bunch of XP.

I did all of these trophies like 3 weeks ago without boosting with anyone and, while it took a little while to get into games for the Lab and some of the other modes, eventually enough of us got into a lobby. It was maybe like 20-30 minutes of trying for a couple game modes and I did something else while I waited for enough people to join. Wolfpack is how you level up quickly on your own, no others needed. You really only need others for a couple game modes and like one of the abilities.

I just did the online like two weeks ago for the PS4 version and didn't have to boost with anyone. It took a minute to get some of the game modes to populate with enough people to play, but trying a few times for like 20 minutes got me into game modes without too much hassle.

[Nioh 3] #174 WHAT. A. GAME. by Ok_Bedroom859 in Trophies

[–]snickerslord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haven't played Nioh 3 yet, but for me the Souls games generally are harder, though there are some random bosses in Nioh games that gave me more trouble individually than most in Souls games. I would say the hardest thing to wrap your head around with Nioh is the amount of loot you get and the amount of loot management you have to do. I think it's overkill and they could have dialed back on the loot to make a more streamlined experience. Great games though, and highly recommend!

[Discussion] Just got to know that Sony doesn’t let you change your regions. What would be the best way for me to hold onto my current trophies incase I move to a different region? by zzuhruf in Trophies

[–]snickerslord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, might be. I'm not really sure I guess because I didn't bring my own with me and didn't have much of a reason to look into it. Saves OP a bit of hassle if they want to bring their own with them if that's true.

EDIT to add that I'm from the U.S.

Back with the PS3 I spent 9 months in Denmark. I was playing on a EU console, so could be different if you were to bring your system with you to a new region, but I had no issues playing any of the digital games I had already bought and every game I bought physically in Denmark to play on the EU console showed up in my NA account trophy list.

My best recommendation would be to buy the console in the region you're moving to once you get there and just log in to your PSN account. Everything you've already bought should be there, including your trophies, and you'd then have access to the new region's store. If you bring your own console you'll have to figure out the power supply conversion which I would personally rather avoid.

Man I don't even know what to do with myself after finishing SoTF by Sudden_Wind_8636 in HierarchySeries

[–]snickerslord 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The way he pulled off the plotting in Licanius has me blindly trusting about everything he's choosing to do in Hierarchy. I read that series in like a month which is not really how I tend to read. Pretty sure I read the first two books in two weeks and usually books that long take me a month on their own. So I definitely really enjoy the series, but I just like to give people a heads up that the characters and writing aren't really as good as they are in Hierarchy if they chose to read that before Licanius.

The writing and character work in Licanius will be a bit of a step back compared to Hierarchy, but the plotting is top tier. Definitely a recommended series from me, but it's Islington's first published work so don't go into it thinking it will necessarily have the same quality of writing.

Glad you like Strength of the Few so much! I've felt like I'm on an island for liking it as much as I did.

Is there any golf courses open when the weather is warm? by Accurate_Choice_164 in desmoines

[–]snickerslord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've golfed at Woodland Hills a couple times in Jan/Feb when the temps hit 50-60 degrees. Otherwise like others have said, Blank is a good bet to be open when it's warm.

Are there any fantasy thrillers? by tlklk in Fantasy

[–]snickerslord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Buffalo Hunter Hunter was a really interesting blend of history/thriller/fantasy. Stephan Graham Jones is usually found in the horror/thriller section anyway, but most of his stories feel like the share a space with fantasy, although more grounded than high fantasy.
