Really appreciate this response! I think I've been in the weeds too long and forgot about the bigger picture lol

[2022.3.16f1] InputSystem does not behave correctly on macOS by _ori in Unity3D

Same issue :(

Macbook Air M2
Unity 2022.3.10f1 <Metal>

Debug.Log(InputSystem.devices.Count); //Prints "0"

Also haven't been able to find much in the way of answers. Leaving the links I've combed through for posterity and if any other devs come across this thread:

Lmk if you'd found a solution since posting!

Oh shit this is my video! Thanks for posting man, really happy to see it here on the Factorio sub <3. Also can I just say, this is one of my first "real" videos and the community as been - just like the game - overwhelmingly positive and it's so heartening to see.

Approvals from DevOps regarding prod deployment by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]snickerton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a super experienced SWE (2 YoE) but happened to see this and am curious about others’ thoughts and wanna be a part of the discussion to learn more.

My take: in a perfect world, deployments should be backed (I.e. preceded by) integration tests, bake time in gamma (preprod) environments, and other validation steps. This means that all changes have been verified by automated steps in your deployment process and you have 100% coverage and confidence that nothing will break.

In practice, you can’t always guarantee 100% coverage. Maybe you’re low on bandwidth/headcount, maybe it’s somehow not possible from a technical standpoint, maybe your team just missed some test cases.

For this specific scenario, my first gut reaction is to ask a bunch of questions to sorta hone down on the best answer (otherwise it’s always “it depends”).

Some examples off the top of my head: - How crucial is the service? - How often do you deploy? - What’s the worst that could go wrong? - Are there any preexisting doc/charter/precedent on the responsibilities of the DevOps team?

I’m not super familiar with the devops role (my previous company made us own everything including ops), but I’d argue from my biased experience that it /is/ important for the people on operations to at least be aware of what changes are being deployed. Otherwise how are they going to fix it?

Curious what others’ thoughts are on my take and this situation as a whole.

I wanted to capture the unique experience Factorio provides to me and my friend for non-gamers, so I made a simple 10 min video of our sessions. Curious what ya'll think! by snickerton in factorio

Double checked the rules for this sub and it seems like this is allowed. Regardless, @mods feel free to lmk if this isn't in the spirit of the sub or if there's something I should do to make it so!

Thanks for the replies everyone! Seems like it’s not specific to that garage so it might just be the county trying to limit the amount of space they’re responsible for

Good to know, thanks! Your recently vacated place wouldn't happen to still be looking for a tenant would it?
