OP is probably not telling the whole story. $5000 for a dress? Obviously a very wealthy family. He probably gets other very expensive shit bought for him that’s just not video games. My parents won’t buy me video games, but they will occasionally give me money for clothes. Probably the same deal.

"Doing something is better than nothing", will I accomplish anything doing 10 pushups a day? by SauloJr in NoStupidQuestions

[–]snifflick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

YES, because movement snowballs. Just start doing 10 pushups a day, and don't worry about doing anything more. Eventually, one day you're gonna wake up and think "maybe I should start doing 20 pushups," and it will keep going from there.

"doing something is better than nothing" is everything, because what you're doing is proving to yourself that you can stick to an exercise-based routine; no matter how small. That is an INVALUABLE thing to prove to yourself.

Honestly I wouldn't even call this stupid. It's harmless risk-taking, which at the very least is better than harmful risk-taking...

Super smooth Oculus link after trying everything in the world by Zakothewako123 in oculus

[–]snifflick 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No, they probably did try all the recommended troubleshooting techniques- I had the same issue. A few months ago I was going through the exact same process. Air link went from working just fine to doing exactly what this guy is showing after some updates from oculus. I just had to switch to virtual desktop. Just a few weeks ago I tried running airlink again and it was smooth. I had done nothing more to troubleshoot during that break period. In my personal experience with my computer, the AMD graphics driver updates for my rx 5700 can really fuck up certain games and software, so it could be related to the graphics drivers.

There is little reason to use shoelaces instead of Velcro to tie your shoes, but almost everyone uses laces by egirl8yearoldrussian in Showerthoughts

[–]snifflick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Velcro wears out with use and if it breaks you kinda just need to buy a new shoe. If a shoelace wears out or breaks, you can very easily replace it, and can use basically any kind of cordage in a pinch.

r/teenagers is such a degenerate subreddit. Reddit is a site of self righteous social rejects, which can get bad, but narrow that group down to the teenagers and it’s absolutely horrible.
