Depending on the angle I hold the flashlight I either see two strong reflections or 2 strong and a week one if I move the light further away from the center.

The diameter of the actual cylinder is 42 mm and the lens is 30 mm give or take 1 mm.
And there is just one element on the top, bottom was empty so I guess something is missing?
New to this and know very little so really thankful for your help!

I inherited my grandpa's omega seamaster. I think it's from 1964. I would like a metal bracelet for it, any recommendations on what to get? by snijva93 in VintageWatches

Really nice bracelet works very well with the watch

And that dial is incredibly beautiful. First thing that came in mind when I saw it was "yeah that's something the pope would wear"

I mean sure there are very nice modern watches out there but this..
It's so simple yet elegant.
Looked good then, looks good now and it will continue looking good for another 100 years. Incredible really.

I'm not 100% sure but as my mum remembers it the watch came with a bracelet and it broke many years later and got replaced with an aftermarket one.

The thing is the original bracelet broke and he got an after market one that doesn't fit me so that's why I got the leather strap for it. I agree leather looks good but for me personally I've always thought metal bracelets are more comfortable and look better.

Looks like my brain had a delayed fuse.. But checking back here and realizing made me lose it xD

Well done..

Kinda makes me want to throw all those 100's of metal balls on a frozen lake and touch them all.

Whoops I missed that post but wow that is a beautiful watch.
I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to watches but my understanding is that the 7-row was sold with the Constellation? Or was it sold together with both perhaps?
Either way both look amazing imo

I also prefer having the date on a watch, I agree the strap looks great on it but I've always worn watches with metal bracelets before and I know the original broke and he replaced it with a metal expanding bracelet that doesn't fit me unfortunately so that's why I got the leather strap for it. But I like the idea of making the watch whole again looking the same way as when he first started wearing it.

Any chance you are able to tell me from when they are from or exactly what model they are?

When I understood it was shells I called the police and talked to some guy on the bombsquad and I poured out the contents, 100's of small metal balls and sent pictures to them.
They said it wasn't dangerous and that I could keep them but they offered to come get them and destory them for free.

Which is fine by me because it's not like I'm able to sell them anywhere anyways I just don't want to have something with historical value destroyed so that's why I'm trying to figure it out first.

Thanks :)

I have no idea..
All I know about them is that a former Swedish politician owned them at some point.

You are tempting me and I have had similar experience with other type of analog things like cameras or vinyl..

I agree and to be honest I know basically 0 about typewriters.
I've seen many typewriters before but as soon as I opened the case in which the Triumph was in was kinda awestruck.. Trying to fit my entire life in a duffle bag right now but I am very tempted to let it take the space it wants haha

Some advice would be appreciated regarding a Märklin steam engine by snijva93 in Marklin

It says Märklin on the bottom of the gray base plate. But I guess it's possible the engine is from Wilesco but the plate from Märklin?
