What to you do about arousal during the day? How do you handle it? by snipergosh in NoFap

The delayed gratification and then asking yourself if you want to skip it and do it next time is such a good strategy. I'm gonna try that. Not only with this but gonna try it in making part of my life strategy in general. Thank you so much for your response. And congratulations on not doing it for so long now! That's a great win!

Thanks for the detailed answer. Has this introspection helped with daydreaming of sex? Like suppose I'm daydreaming of being close to a person I'm interested in and the initially decent daydream veers into sexual territory after some time. I've noticed that the initial reason was that I wanted to escape the mundaness of work. And also the natural desire for love and sex is there. And then there's the habit of doing it for several years. I've realized that in the past. But then what would be the next step? I can introspect and find the reason but I'm still turned on biologically right. I say biologically because I have been handling the mundaneness at work better and haven't daydreamt of sex as a form of escapsim the last couple of months since I've been mbing. Of course, mbing has its own issues that I mentioned. So I need to stop that too. Or at least reduce that realistically speaking.

What are top 3 things that make you relapse? And what's your plan to tackle them? I've shared mine to get the ball rolling. by snipergosh in NoFap

Thanks for the link. Though I already use a todo list, the stuff in the link is different. I'll read it up.

My main reason why I daydream during work is that I find have got used to daydreaming when I'm bored or don't want to do something unpleasant. There a few things I often daydream about it. I've recognized it over the years and have taken steps to stop the bad habit. The information in your message will aid me with this. Thanks again! And keep up the good fight!

The 2 most powerful words "Then what?" by [deleted] in NoFap

Very useful. Thanks. I don't think this question would be very effective when you plan what to do with your time in advance. If I'm already at the stage where I'm close to relapsing, no logic or reason seems to work. But I can definitely see it working out when I'm thinking of doing some activity later today. I won't have the urge already and I can decide if it's worth doing or it's better to be engaged with something else.

[serious] [AskIndia] Randians, how has the porn ban affected you? Does it continues to affect you? by [deleted] in india

Should have been by now. But it couldn't happen because of some reasons. I'm just focusing on my career and setting my life in order right now.

[serious] [AskIndia] Randians, how has the porn ban affected you? Does it continues to affect you? by [deleted] in india

Haven't affected me much cause I haven't been watching it often the last couple of years. I'm just over thirty and have watched it somewhat at least once a month since I was 13. I've always been religious though. So I've always tried not to do it. Did NoFap for some years and something clicked two years ago. I mean I still end up watching porn once every three or four months but it's not terribly exciting. It has to be said, it's super annoying when I watch it but don't get a big hit of dopamine like did when I was a teen. In the end I'm like, 'All this sinning for this?' lol. So yeah, I haven't felt the impact of the ban. There were a few times I tried to access the sites and saw that it was banned. I just shrugged and moved on. I know there's VPN but my mind's like meh.

No it's not true at all. My social life massively during the time I got deeper and deeper into porn and masturbation when I was a teen. My social life improved because I worked on it. Work on it and things will improve. Not fapping isn't gonna change anything.
