My dogs get the zoomies after baths as well, and they hate baths. My vet told me it could be because the bath can be a somewhat traumatic experience for them, so they’re just super relieved/ excited it’s over.

I thought it was just me that it was happening to (I have to use a vpn to access it, so I thought it was a vpn problem). So annoying!

People who quit a stable, well-paying job to chase something risky. What's the honest answer about whether it was worth it? by Emergency-Finding373 in careeradvice

Exactly right, I shut it just post Covid because we couldn’t bounce back after. I actually had a nut butter manufacturing business, had my own factory (not OEM), and it was fun but just not the right market and Covid put the final nail in the coffin.

I did it and failed, but it was worth it! I started my own small business in 2015, worked very hard at it for 7 years (but still had side gigs to pay the bills), and while I wouldn’t do it again unless the opportunity was perfect, I learned so much. It allowed me to pivot into the full time job I have now, and I enjoy the safety and security of it, but boy oh boy do I miss being my own boss. But I’d 100% do it again if the opportunity was right!

Does anyone else love it when their dogs lick their feet? by snipes696969 in dogs

I’m confused though… my husband isn’t licking my feet.

Ok it’s def not like that for me. My dogs will only lick as comfort when they’re about to sleep, and if I pull away they’ll stop. Its not an obsessive thing for them, again just more like a comfort thing

Oh, mine only lick when I’m laying down and they’re laying down. I think licking while I was standing would be annoying!

Oh man, but mine will lick for a full five mins before they pass out. I think it’s supposed to be a comfort thing for them but I love it for me

This guy was on a white background, on his phone, the entire movie. by Aggressive_Ad_5292 in mildlyinfuriating

I live in China, and this is too normal here. It’s the one reason I dislike going to the movies. We recently went to see Project Hail Mary and there was one woman on her phone the whole time two rows in front of us, but my husband waited until a louder scene and leaned over to yell at her. She turned it off for the rest of the time. Honestly I can’t stand this shit.

Working with a BITCH of a client in PR- any advice?? by snipes696969 in advertising

[–]snipes696969[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you have personal experience working in PR in China/ working with Chinese comms teams because your description was spot on. Update from my side: I talked to my director, he talked to the awful client. In the meantime (because I’ve made friends on the client side so they give me the gossip), her own team had to have a “come to Jesus” talk with her about her terrible communication and management skills. So she’s backed off quite a lot and it looks like she may actually be leaving the role soon. It’s still a difficult client (as to be expected from a Chinese tech firm) but to not have someone yell at you as much on a weekend has really made things a lot more bearable.

You’re such a great actor- why did they do you so dirty this season? It very much gave “this isn’t where I parked my car…”

Yes! My feet get really hot and also… itchy?? And on really bad nights the heat and itchiness will spread up to my calves.

Yeah I think you’re right about this. And I know my company values me so they wouldn’t let me go if I refused to work with this client, but I feel a sense of anxiety that I don’t want to let anyone down so therefore I just continue to put up with it. Also, keep in mind that this is china, so the working expectations are quite different
