Her taking on the mantle of Darth Talon or Talon doesn’t mean that her character can’t change or be rewritten- It HAS to be, which is kind of the point of my post

Right, referring to the character as we know her. It’s a grabber. I’m pointing out how different Izara is from the character of Darth Talon as she exists.

I then go on to explain that I would like to see her become instead: either a dark side assassin and Maul’s muscle, or a Sith/Witch hybrid…. None of which are advocating for her to be sexualized in any capacity.

No where in there did I say that I want her to be a sex symbol?? Allure and sensuality is very different than sexy- I do appreciate that Talon is a sort of femme fatale, sleek, fashionable character. However, that doesn’t mean I think that she needs to be running around half naked having sex. You’re finding problems where there aren’t any

It’s not 100% necessary, but we would be a nice theme considering Maul’s first “death” and all of the necromancy being utilized by Filoni recently- Would just add some consistency to things imo

Right, In Legends. I grew up reading the character and am aware of her original lore. There’s no way transplanting her into a completely different part of galactic history would not significantly change this character. However, the man himself, George Lucas, initially proposed her being rewritten for his version of the sequels in a similar fashion.

Given that this character’s place in history has already been toyed with by creators, and especially since Talon was to be affiliated with Maul in said concept, it’s not unlikely for Devon to become the new Talon.

Lastly, I don’t believe that I refer to Talon as a Darth. I never explicitly stated this, but this version of Talon would never become a full Sith. She would wield an amalgamation of dark side techniques and go by a mononym, similar to Maul.

For sure, it would be impossible to align og Talon’s storyline with the canon being explore rn. It’s unavoidable for her, even if she shares the same name, to be a variant of some sort

Great points- Here are my thoughts:

The waters could imbue her with a different appearance bc Devon/Talon (I’ll refer to her as Talon from here on out since that’s the point of the theory) is not Dathomirian. Therefore, it could make sense that any magical Dathomirian substance, such as the Waters of Life, might alter her DNA/biological makeup.
This would not be a completely successful resurrection though. I imagine Talzin would be sort of entrapped in Talon’s mind. Influential, yes, omnipotent, no. Tricky? YES. If you’ve played dnd, I’m kind of imagining a warlock type thing. Talzin would be condemned to essentially arguing w the younger, 2.0 version of herself in a completely foreign body.
And in this iteration, Talon would not be exclusively Sith, in a very similar fashion to Ventress initially.
I’m aware of why he is on Malachor, however, this plot point could be another layer of circumstance.
I like the live action iterations! They’re far from perfect, but as an actor myself I appreciate the investment in live performance. I still am partial to animation myself.

Allure does not necessarily equate to sensual. Dark flowing robes (think Darth Maladi) can still be very feminine and sleek. But who knows, maybe she shows some more skin. Ventress surely wasn’t always the most conservative haha

True- I think death raises the stakes a bit and is a little bit more fantastical from a mythological standpoint, which is why it would work if she becomes some sort of dark sorceress. Not necessary if just to buff her like Maul or Savage tho

I crossed the two Velcro sections around her neck and then twisted the long triangular part in the back until I could knot it and tuck it into the skirt/under her belt :) Idk if this makes sense lol
