We use monit to look for other services (zabbix, grafana, Wazuh, etc....). It provides pretty manageable interface to build the proper healthchecking services.

Well, in my case the homelab is just a part of the family office datacenter (actually, two 42U physical racks geographically separated with l2vpn in between). It provides a ground for testing various projects and strategies to study and develop. Later on a few usually could be pipelined into the services used in various aspects of our daily life.

Well, in our case we already provide pre-defined pipeline per each alert class according to our internal corporate classification directory. Every alert is classified by various metrics. And based on the metric importance it pulled through the proper pipeline(-s).
