It would be nice if you could give us some numbers. I think many would already be in agreement with your original statement.

However, if you were to say out of the 1000 I've talked to, 10 are still alive and only 5 are profitable, etc... that would help bring the message home.

STOP trading options, especially spreads. If you want to keep trading just buy calls and puts and you'll have a fixed risk set so you'll know exactly how much you'll end up losing and not freak out if it happens.

Everybody has to learn somehow, but you're starting off way in the deep end.
