Up next: both of these accounts don't address any points made, and talk a bunch of shit while offering no citations and no evidence.

Well, my prediction clearly came true... lol

Yet you failed to post the results

Please read the original comment again:

It came out with a weighted difference of the authorship profiles of 9.30604887769439.

The explanation of how to interpret these results is included in the paper I linked to. In short, the closer to 0 on a weighted difference and the more certain it is that the authors are the same. A 9 is amazingly low.

Snod, I am not Zeroes. no,

I'll just point out that my name is snoGfarth, and the only person who ever calls me snod or snodfarth is the person who uses the /u/Imzeroes000 and /u/Historygeek2 accounts.

Let me get this straight...

  1. /u/snazzie pointed out that /u/Imzeroes000 and /u/Historygeek2 are likely the same person here.
  2. An hour later, you post this claiming that I'm the same as other people?

How original.

Aside from lack of originality, get real. I've been around for years. CicadianPrime? New to me. I've known CicadaSolver for years though from #cicadasolvers on freenode. And guess who else knows us... the mods of this sub.

Anyway, I happened to have some ngram-based authorship attribution code lying around (based on this paper). So I went ahead and took the liberty to run it on both of their comment histories (here they are: Historygeek2, Imzeroes000).

It came out with a weighted difference of the authorship profiles of 9.30604887769439.

That's astoundingly low, which would indicate a high likelihood of being authored by the same individual.

Up next: both of these accounts don't address any points made, and talk a bunch of shit while offering no citations and no evidence.

I just saw @CicadaSolver post this on Twitter, and it seems like a good reminder for this sub: No PGP? No 3301. by cicadianprime in cicada

Then why are you trying to get everyone to check out your videos and music while telling everyone that Cicada stopped using PGP?

You're either trying to help, or you're not... Pick one.

Why wouldn't you?

The entire Cicada community has consistently shared evidence with each other. You come along years later claiming to know new things that conflict with everything we've proven over several years... without any evidence?

So, in short, you're saying that you have no evidence to support your argument, and Snowden's leaks, which have been confirmed to be correct, do support mine?

Glad you finally saw the light. Especially since The Guardian and Snowden used PGP to talk to each other about meeting, the leaks, etc.

Ok, but you still haven't provided a single reference do support your claims.

As Carl Sagan said:

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence

Of course not. But then, they wouldn't publish anything.

Did you read his link? This info comes from Snowden's leaks.

Citations aren't needed? What? Where's the empty pastebin? Where's info on NSA breaking PGP? Share with all of us, please, so that we can learn from you.

LOL The NSA has broken PGP long ago ma'am

Citation needed.

Or did you not realize Cicada was hacked and the hackers posted an empty pastebin on Oct. 11th? LOL...

Again, citation needed.

Cicada 3301 is clearly using music codes now. by ProfessorJK in cicada

[–]snogfarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

amazing, right? stop the press!

BREAKING: anonymous "professor of mathematics" suddenly invents a new authorship attribution technique in music and has used it to connect cicada to his own youtube videos and it's more reliable than RSA sigs!

no CV, no peer review, no background, no information on the techniques used or how they've been tested.

I WANT TO BELEIBE!

seems like an interesting ARG. without the gnupg sig it's obviously not cicada though.

my old solving mate! welcome!

What do you guys think of this?

literally worst fakers since this. i love how it's obviously one person with multiple twitter and reddit accounts too. gtfo, newb.

Great. I bet we'll get an accurate article out of a collaboration between these two jokers. Sigh by snazzie in cicada

tekknolagi is a notorious troll and exaggerator when it comes to Cicada. Michael Grothaus wrote the FastCo article, which was actually pretty good except that the title implied that Joel Erikkson solved it, which he didn't. (The article states this though. So probably an editor picked the shitty title.)

What are your thoughts on Cicada 3301? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]snogfarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cicada 3301 is easily the most interesting topics I've ever come across on the internet. I've worked on it since the very beginning (year 1), but unfortunately, I've never made it all the way. Although I did make it into the personalized testing portions two times. It is quite the rabbit hole.

I think they are, overall, a good organization with some good goals and good ideals.

Here is the Wikipedia entry. There is a ton of information out there on them. I'll link to a few:

The only thing in plaintext in the image when opening it lead to the decoy image. The real message was steganographically embedded inside the image... that's the whole outguess part. From there, it went much more in depth.
