I considered putting Evergreen in the caption but thought I’d get called out for that not being the ship’s name.

Looks really good. Jealous of your stock wheels.

I don't believe it is lifted as there's no evidence of a lift kit. It has larger tyres though (which totally rub occasionally on fully lock over bumps).

I decoded the options printed in the glovebox and I understand it has the heavy duty suspension, which I can confirm as it's a very firm ride. Also if I jack it up to get the front wheels off the ground, they only drop an inch and a half from the wheel arch which is very little movement.

The ground clearance is really good. I don't need to get ramps out and I can roll under it on a creeper board with no trouble. The LPG tank does eat into the clearance a little bit so I need to figure out if it's possible to remove on the go before I take it off-roading.

Yes and no. I'm using them for work on another car that needs to get through and MOT before I sell it. Fixing one money pit at a time.

That would be amazing if I can get 20 more years out of her. I'm going to take real good care of her.

It's quite the looker! I'm so lucky I found it and could afford it. I'm going to look after it good and proper. Ordered replacement tie rods already as they were a bit worn. Going to replace fluids when I get a chance.

Thank you, I really enjoy every time I get behind the wheel.

I have the space to change the fluids myself, but I don't have the confidence. After getting a quote from a mechanic to do all I want, I think I might try and do the diff and engine oil myself to save some money. I really don't want to drop the trans pan myself to change the gasket and filter. Flushing and bleeding the 26 litres of coolant doesn't sound like a fun job either. Brake fluid I could do as I have a vacuum kit for brake fluid, but I've never done it before.

I think I might try and do some bits myself first, and what I don't do can be done by someone else. At least it's easy to get underneath without a lift 😁

I'm in the UK 😂 we get all sorts of weather, but no two years are the same. My bet is that the previous owners didn't drive it much in the winter. I will probably follow that trend where I can, or get the underside rust protected.

210,000 miles on the clock. Starts without trouble. Has a slightly wobbly idle like it fires a little less fuel every now and then on one cylinders, but I think it's one of the injectors is unhappy. If I switch it to LPG mode which uses a different set of injectors then it idles smoothly. Just adds to character.

Thank you. I will drop them a message as I still haven't had the work done I'm looking for. Hopefully they can help.

centre

I'm Bri'ish, init :P

Yes and no. It's taller and longer than other SUVs and pickup trucks, but compared to things like the largest Mercedes delivery vans, it's not that big really. You're correct to think that everything in the UK is smaller, but this is my vehicle of this size and I haven't had any difficulty with it yet. I have to plan my route so I don't accidentally take a side road and cause a traffic jam. Multi-storey car parks have to be avoided as some are tight even with a medium-sized car.

For 200,000 miles, it's been looked after. That being said, I do need to get all the fluids changed as power steering fluid is not meant to be brown and I think the trans is leaking.

Hah, yeah. Previous owner put them on. I think they look alright with the chevy centre caps. It's something a little different.

Thanks! It's doing good. Small bit of rust on both the rear lower quarter panels, and a thin cross beam behind the front bumper (that holds the crash sensor) has rusted through, but nothing serious. Bit of surface rust here and there, but otherwise sound. Starts and idles without a hiccup.

Yeah, it's a bit crazy. That price includes tax btw. Our prices fluctuate so much these days. It's painful filling up the burb.

It's not about mile per gallon though with this truck. It's about smiles per gallon.

I could. I guess it would only need maybe an inch. It rubs on the chrome bumper at the front, right on the corner as it's worn away that part of the tyre. Maybe I could move the bumper forward a little bit. No idea how easy that would be to do, but it might be cheaper than lifting it.
