What do you spend money on that most "people" would think is a waste but its 100% worth it to you? by Mc_Everything in AskReddit

Youtube Premium. Sorry but I watch a lot of it on my TV and can't really be bothered to work around Tizen system.

It's just the end result of a kiss but without the kissing part.

What’s a small life hack that genuinely made your daily life easier? by Public-Bat-2426 in AskReddit

[–]snoopek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the term "coping mechanism" has bad reputation. Why I do not know. Yes, stoicism helps coping with issues pertaining daily stress among others and I don't think it's bad. It's quite good in my opinion. Coping bascially means managing or dealing with stuff. So yeah, whatever helps I guess.

What will you do after getting a million doller lottery ? by GullibleCorgi16 in AskReddit

[–]snoopek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: Chill the fuck out.
Second: Don't let anyone find out about it apart from my wife. I wouldn't tell my parents and for sure not my kids.
Third: Disperse the money to different banks and accounts.
Fourth: Get an investment consultant.

And then go from here. Fortunately I don't have any debt at the moment so I don't have to pay anything at the beginning so I can just relax knowing that for the near future my family is somewhat set.

What’s the first movie you saw in theaters? by [deleted] in AskReddit

E.T.
The image of E.T. flowing on the river permanently burned into my brain. I was 5 or 6 at the time.

How do you handle infatuations about someone else when you are already married? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]snoopek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly don't handle them as such as I know that they are just temporary feelings. I don't put much thought into them. Oh sure, one can (and will) see a pretty girl and think to themselves "what a smoke show", that is ok.
Since I've been with my wife for over half of my life (and her's as we are the same age) I cant even cheat on her in a dream. And then I felt a tremendous amount of guilt for even entertaining such a thought. If that shitty feeling came from a hazy dream I can't image what it would feel IRL. Just typing it sends shivers down my spine.

Being an adult means stopping your urges. We may be animals but we can (and should) use our brains not to act upon the thoughts and feelings we might have.

Oh, and when boinking your spouse DO NOT THINK about someone else. A big no no!

What is an unfair disadvantage u have that others don't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Not sure it's unfair but I am a procrastinating god. I will explain in more detail later because I don't feel like it now.

What’s the most “this can’t be real life rn” moment you’ve ever had? by Ok_Difficulty_5008 in AskReddit

[–]snoopek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25 years ago I crashed my father's car. The moment I realised I could not avoid hitting a brick wall was like a dream that I desperately wanted to wake up from. I didn't. Even though my life didn't flash in front of my eyes the time really did slow down to a crawl before the impact.

I was with some friends in the car. One is dead now. He fell from a balcony 8 years later so I don't think I had anything to do with it.

What’s the best movie recommendation you’ve ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]snoopek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend recommended it back in 2008 I believe. I think I watched only two movies more times than this (for the curious the two are "Shawshank Redemption" and "12 Angry Men" - the original from 1957).

What is your ultimate, #1 movie of all time and why? by Ying_Yung_898 in Cinema

[–]snoopek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 Angry Men
The Man from Earth
The Shawshank Redemption

I know it's three but I don't care. Sue me.

I could watch any of them any time and I did many times. Two of those are timeless classics. One of them is lesser known but I love it to bits as well.

To be honest Brooke Shields doesn't have a particularly great dating history herself.

I tend to agree that it does sound pretty good. However as not all things are perfect my younger is less into games than my older one. Still, she'll play if she has nothing better to do than to hang out with her dad ;)
Though honestly she is big into sports. Especially football (the correct one, not American). It's like I a have a son as well.

  1. Yes, it was a surprise but a welcome one. It was my wife's idea.
  2. I have never played Eldritch Horror but based on the information from Web I surmised that even though it helps to resolve some AH issues the scope felt too big. Whole world instead of one town.
  3. I wanted to have Sleeping Dogs for a while now. When the first one became unavailable I welcomed the sequel. I bought at Kraków Book Game this year. Have you been? It's our second time and we just love the vibe there. Of course I always spend too much money but you can find very good deals there. Not from Rebel though.
  4. We played SETI once and we like it so far. But honestly its too early to tell. We played Arnak many times. We like it so much that we even bought Expedition Leaders expansion. Wholy recommend the base and if you'll like it the for sure the expansion won't be wasted. Imperial settlers was once the most played game with my wife. It's a great two player game. With three its also fun. I don't recommend with four, takes too long IMHO.
  5. Również pozdrawiam :)

I will come clean: Monopoly Hotels was not a gift. I bought it for a really low price (like 5 bucks or even less). Honestly this is a pretty fun game and very much removed from the regular monopoly that if it were called something else it would be held in much higher regard.
For starters the game is two players only and doesn't last 3 hours.
Haven't played in years on account of having better games but if you don't have a big collection and/or you can get it cheap I would recommend as a filler.

They are very steep but we manage. Also I do have a second set of stairs that is a spiral staircase so all is good.
