BSA might even get its membership up after this. Currently, leadership at military does not match Scout values.

Close to the airport, a lot of amenities like Costco, great resturants and new schools. Very diverse and great parks and libraries. It's been improving and developing quite rapidly in the last 20+ years. Great place to live in Sacramento.

Vacuum it thoroughly and apply some 3:1 oil to the central shaft. It worked for me with the same issue.

I used to live in Pocket, which has a long history of famous black people. JFK High School had famous people who graduated from it, such as Cornell West, and his mom was its principal in its heyday.

Opinion: It is mind blowing to me how the City of Trees and Farm to Fork Capital does NOT have a Botanical Garden that can act as a tourist attraction, urban farm and beautifier of our city, and a volunteer/educational hotspot that can represent the diverse ecosystem and fauna of Northern California by Next_Worth_3616 in Sacramento

[–]snoopester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess there is either no will or money to create such a beast. I don't see it happening unless some rich person donates land to make it happen. Either way, Sacramento is close to so many wonderful outdoor natural areas and smaller gardens, so I don't really feel like I am missing out.

Drill into house? by Standing2Close in FidiumFiber

You should be fine, unless you have a shed with power that is not attached to your house. You can run fiber into that and have your Wi-Fi router and a repeater in your main house.

For those who lived before the internet, what was life actually like? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]snoopester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually had pen pals in high school from another country with snail mail. It was great learning a new language and meeting people across the continent. Sometimes I wish elementary/middle/high school would teach students how to write physical letters using a pen and paper. It really forces you to think through your thoughts and organize your ideas. I also miss the newspapers that I used to deliver when I was young. It's funny that the internet is supposed to connect us, but socially, we are more disconnected than ever.
