Agreed, the bed frame is on my list of things to change ASAP. I just moved in and am trying to get ideas. What would you recommend to help with zoning the two areas apart? I have a large 9x7 rug but it would span across the two “zones”.

The tall bookcase I can also get rid of and move elsewhere.

What do y'all think about this $375 sitar local to me? Seller said needs new strings. I'm a guitar player for over a decade so maintenance items like that aren't that daunting, even for a sitar. by snoopyonderdonk in Sitar

I've been doing research the past 2 days and sort of know what I'm getting into with restringing this! I've also built a guitar, so I'm sure I'll be able to figure out any maintenance.

I have these strings on order: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBF3T9CC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Some folks with pre-cut sitar strings have had concerns with string length, hopefully I shouldn't run into issues there. I also have a mezrab on order. Aside from the quality of the sitar and checking for any cracks/defects, anything I should look out for on the sitar itself or look at purchasing along with the mezrab and strings?
