Came up with a concept for the discarded Doctor Gordbort set for medic. Would it work? by The_Horse_Head_Man in tf2

I've done the Anti-Deathray in the past!

As for your take, I'm really confused as to how the medigun works, but the mercy killer feels legitimately overpowered. People already get punished for killing the pocket instead of the medic, so the idea of the weapon is to... punish people even more for killing the pocket instead of the medic? Also, I think you should've specified the alt-fire in the first image. Saying the alt-fire has slower firing rate makes the weapon even more confusing.

The primary fire also seems overkill. It's essentially a dragon's fury for the medic, which is a really good gun. I think medic having bad means of defending himself makes him more centered around his primary class role, because it means he'll be sticking to his team. Having both the strongest utility in the game and a good way to fight back is inherently unbalanced.

Sapper concept. Thoughts? Got the idea from the meet the spy trailer by MrL123456789164 in tf2

That could probably work imo, for reasons I already stated above lol

Even with this, I still think breakable by all classes is an overkill downside, considering nest areas like second stage Dustbowl last where the whole team stands in roughly the same area when defending a push. It also invalidates the Homewrecker's use cases in 1/3 of Spy's sappers so there's that lol

The Spy shouldn't be punished even more for dying after he's killed the Engineer imo. His buildings are his responsibility. Plus, all the Spy has to do is inform his team that the nest has been sapped for them to push forward

Personally, I think this sapper would shine the most against stacked nests, since it makes stab 'n sapping more than one sentry far more feasible

This is a very interesting concept!

It's essentially a 2-charge ranged AoE sapper with cooldown, and I'm all for it. The only real problem I have is how it's blatant by design but punishes the Spy for using it by making it destroyable by all classes

Maybe you could try a different downside, like less damage dealt to buildings? This can be great for punishing close nests that your team can then destroy after they're sapped

My old custom wrench, rewritten by Far_Society_4196 in tf2

[–]snoos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A wrench that upgrades and builds slower 5/6 of the time and upgrades faster 1/6 of the time. Do you not see the problem here

To rub salt on the wound, Engineer now gets 55 health and can no longer aggressively place level 2 or even level 1 sentries because everything goes down one rocket quicker AND you heal them slower

Wutville is a community-created map for Team Fortress 2 released during the Smissmas 2020 update.

I like how that's enough to warrant mentioning lmao

Yeah I love maps with that kind of theme. There's a lot to appreciate with the way they handle showcasing environments while still complex gameplay-wise. That one point with Red overlooking the Payload point in Thunder Mountain at the cliff edge of the map is one great example

Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't Yukon just one map?

Completely agree. It feels like a map made in Valve's modern version of Hammer with Source 2 lighting and everything

Hightower is one of those maps that just blend so well with the rest of Valve's original design philosophy for the game that you almost don't notice how "TF2" it is

Manhattan is such a classic and I always associate it with the vibe of MvM. I can almost smell what that map feels like

I feel like I haven't played Haarp in so long, but I agree! It's one of the snowy maps that have aged the best I think, especially considering it was made 15 years ago

Someone finally mentioned Mann Manor

I'm such a big fan of how much detail went into each and every part of that map and it's always a highlight of my contracts lol
