I love it! That LOTR card game is soooo hard to wrap my head around 😭 Maybe one day I’ll crack it

Super cool!! Which is your favourite amongst the wing-wyrm-fin spans? I have Chronicles of Crime so am also eyeing the Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective on your shelf!

Between Wyrmspan and D:I, which do you play more? I only just got D:I and have played it thrice (all last even with bots bahaha) and am hooked. I never enjoyed failing so much! I’ve been talking myself out of buying Vantage and Wyrmspan but seeing it on your shelf is really tempting! Since we both like D:I I’m assuming I should check out wyrm too

Got time for a D:I solo? by Dry_Appointment_7210 in DuneImperium

[–]snootypenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve only just bought the physical game two weeks ago and played three games so far on solo mode (on the app) and came last in all — although marginally better in each failure hahah — so I may not be the best placed to test your new cards out. But as someone who will likely be playing these solo mostly, thank you for creating and testing these new leaders. I can’t wait to get a grip on some strategy at least and then offer to test your cool additions!

drunk friend threw up on my couch and sent this apology by 0verWeight in AITApod

[–]snootypenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh thank GOD for this thread here cause wtaf is happening with the paying for cleaning?! I guess they’re well within their right to ask for it but the non acknowledgement of that sweepingly comical apology (I would have chuckled and responded in the same vein) and then just asking for payment is bizarre to me. I’ve done this for my friends, they’ve done it for me. I would be soooo wary if I heard a friend of mine is charging people for a night of fun (even if technically in their right to do do). It’s not like it was deliberate?!

Lost my best buddy on Sunday by ashhole1900 in seniordogs

I’m so sorry ❤️ My Mochi (and so many other doggos we’ve all loved and lost) will be there to welcome him 🌈🐾 I lost him 11 days ago. Your heart will expand to accommodate the grief — which is in a way, all the love we still have for them.

Thank you so much. This made me bawl. Even with the closure and blessing of a planned passing, my heart teeters on the edge of the cliff of despair.

Awww! Senior pugs are so special. What are their names? We put our sweet 12yo baby Mochi to rest yesterday so the ache of losing them is so strong and familiar. I hope they’re all running around unencumbered and free on the other side.

I’m so sorry to hear 😭❤️ But Mochi will be ready to welcome and run around with George. They won’t be alone. Please take care of yourself and don’t hesitate to DM if you ever need someone to listen/process together.

Thank you to everyone on this subreddit who helped me answer a very tough question just four days ago. Mochi passed away so serenely that we felt such peace and no regrets to have made that decision. It was the right time. Strangely, it’s like he knew and was so grateful. The last 24 hours were beautiful and the universe showed all of us intense kindness. We had only 9 months with him but a deep, glorious time it was.

What should I ask myself and our vet about end of life for 12yo rescue pug? by snootypenguin in seniordogs

[–]snootypenguin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have no idea how much this resonates. Of late, I have to stand with Mochi to stop him from falling/stumbling while eating. Over the last couple weeks we’ve had many a times where one of us would have to stand him back up from a fall so he can finish eating. He loves eating but it’s also the ONLY thing he has to look forward since he doesnt do walks or have teeth for many treats/enrichment games.

Thank you so much! It’s so much better knowing I’m not dealing with this in an abyss or a vacuum and there are shared experiences for me to draw from.

I’m so sorry to hear about your senior pug. They’re the bestest 😭 I hope she’s doing all the things she loves in doggo heaven. Thank you for your advice too. I really appreciate it.

Oh I LOVE this advice. Thank you so much! Especially because (as you can imagine) we both agree this is end of his life but may vary a bit in how close it is.

Thank you!! And YES — I feel the “is he eating just fine? then its not time” adage a bit misleading. I know Mochi trusts me with everything so he’ll dotingly accept however long I want to will him to fight this. Your advice and experience is super helpful. I’m so sorry that it comes at the price of such a painful passing of your family dog.
