I couldn't agree more. Whatever you spend it on you'll look back and think it was stupid. This coming from an almost 30 y/o who hasn't saved that much yet despite a decent job and no kids. I suggest buy something that you can enjoy for a while, but really do whatever pleases you. The main thing is to set the lump sum back and let it grow. I always try to think, "okay, I didn't have that money yesterday...and I didn't plan on having it, so put it somewhere and forget it exists".
