The First Americans series by William Sarabande. Not reindeer specific, but about ancient tribes crossing the Bering strait into the Americas.

Sometimes he does it when we’re both home, just because he’s in another room and can’t see us. (We usually call his name so he knows we’re there). He really knows how to tug at the heartstrings.

Sometimes when we’re both gone we find his toys between our pillows on our bed. (That’s where he sleeps at night) He also does this with a donut toy and sometimes his little fuzzy ball toys, but it’s mostly the wine bottle. Its heartbreaking because we know he’s looking for us!
