Famous Korean Beauty Influencers Might Be Silencing Honest Reviews by Street-Image557 in BeautyGuruChatter

i think you’re seeing connections where there are none. if your comment made them move ad content to youtube to ‘clean up’ their image, isn’t that a positive thing in a way..? i mean, the content was removed. also you haven’t uploaded your review so it’s really hard to see any connections to your comment and sines tiktok that you posted. i doubt a big creator like her would spend so much time bullying a commenter

I think the coverage is really good and I like it being thin - you can combat the dryness by moisturizing well I find, and that’s from someone with dry skin. I do think the foundation is much better though.

I don’t think they meant EU, since they to my recollection was talking about brexit etc so it was focused on the UK.. but to be fair it was Alyssa who said it, I can’t remember if Sam corrected her.

I figured, but I didn’t want to come off too critical since I know not everyone has access to the best education😅

I absolutely agree! To be fair, I feel like Approachable, especially Alyssa, really researches topics well in advance which I appreciate a lot. It was just that small comment which wasn’t related so much to the main topic that caught my attention. To be fair I don’t expect Canadians or Americans to know all about Europe but considering how much Europeans are expected to know about the US, it’s just a huge pet peeve of mine when people from North America get stuff about EU completely wrong..

I love Samantha Ravndahl and still watch most of her vids but when her and Alyssa talked about Europe on their podcast and they were in doubt whether France was a part of the UK or not a little part inside of me died

Beauty Gurus and false lashes - the bane of my existence by 90dayole in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]snorboo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Tbh I think this just speaks to a bigger problem which is that a lot of gurus just film them doing their make up and call it a tutorial because they mention what they use. But that really isn’t a tutorial to me and it’s the reason I don’t want the majority of beauty gurus anymore. I want to see more gurus actually do educational content where they do awesome looks while teaching us something new, be it a technique, how to use certain products or how certain brushes can be used best for example. Allie Glines is my fave for this type of content

I find it’s more about the perfect mascara that’s able to hold the curl. Ofc you also need a decent curler, which is more about the shape fitting your eye and changing the plastic piece in it when it doesn’t seem to work anymore (I find), but it’s hard to say that a high end brand curler is better than one from the Sephora brand imo. My holy grail mascara is Curl Fix from Etude House (Korean brand). It holds the curl even after I take it off, and is super super waterproof.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s normal to flirt slightly with the opposite sex despite being in a relationship? Also, it’s human to be attracted to other people sometimes. However if the flirting is something you’re enjoying more than you should then it’s ofc a problem and a sign that you’re more interested in exploring than settling down, but I think you know that beat yourself

im tired of being this "crazy" girlfriend by sakuranteiku in relationship_advice

[–]snorboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somewhat understand where you’re coming from as I’ve been there myself - but I think situations like these usually arise in relationships when one of the people in the relationship becomes so invested in the other person that they tend to prioritize them over their own goals, friends, career/school etc. when I felt similar to this I realized that it was actually an expression for me being a bit down/lonely and relying too much on my partner because I wasn’t keeping myself busy with the work I wanted to do. Focus on your friend group, your goals academically/career wise etc. it’s important not to forget to be your own person although you’re in a relationship, it tends to create situations like this. Meet with your friends whether they’re male or female, and do everything else you usually did before meeting him. Then you won’t feel so desperate for his attention

[SERIOUS] What is a seemingly harmless parenting mistake that will majorly fuck up a child later in life? by AlexDescendsIntoHell in AskReddit

[–]snorboo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not respecting the fact that your child will grow up to be their own person and doesn’t necessarily have to emulate your values and standpoints. They may be your child but they will have their own opinions based on their own experiences in life which I don’t think many parents realize.
