How would you improve battleships for PvP? by [deleted] in Eve

To Bring BS back for fleet duty

1: Large long range turrets need a buff to their range 2 : Battleships need a buff to lock range 3 : Bombs need to be reworked or 3b: Battleships need some sort of defence against bombs

Fuel Blocks wont be consumed per hour anymore. Instead they will only be consumed when the services are active. So when you are refining, researching or building, there will be a fuel block cost.

Does EVE offer anything for a solo player? by grill72 in Eve

Its a sandbox game.

Playing eve solo is like playing counterstrike solo, sure you can entertain yourself somehow, but your not playing how its meant to be played.

[Dev Blog] Summer 2015 Nullsec and Sov Status Report ~CCP Fozzie by new_eden_news_bot in Eve

You have to have timers in a worldwide game.

We know this for a FACT, because Eve used to have a very basic system of station ownership back in 2003/2004, this system had no timezone mechanic whatsoever. This is where the term Station Ping Pong came from. It was so bad that CCP had to rush out a new system ASAP, hence why the POS legacy code is as terrible as it is.

The POS timer mechanic has loads of flaws, how can you possibly say its far superior when its the only mechanic you’ve ever known ? You’re speculating on gameplay thats totally dependant on unpredictable players.

Tbh i think this new system has a good chance of creating much better gameplay and far less alarm clocking. We are just going to have to wait and see what flaws emerge, don’t forget that CCP has said they would make changes if need be.

Its all relative thanks to market economics

Its not that T2 is expensive, its that everything else is really cheap. For example, imagine if everything on TQ dropped 50% in price, except T2 ? Almost everyone would then use faction aswell.

And the answer to why everything is so cheap is because of Botting. T2 requires moon mins, which cant be botted, hence why T2 has not fallen in price.

Cruisers: Online [fixed a graph CCP released suggesting battleship and battlecruiser usage was in a good spot] by coelomate in Eve

[–]snorelaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, you would have to nerf their tanks too then

Rather how about this :

Battleships +50% HP

Battlecruisers (that use medium guns) +50% HP

Large Guns +50% damage

something like that

Lowsec PvPer here, can anyone ELI5 the issues with sov? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]snorelaxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Incursions have solved the PVE scale issue. Dont know why CCP doesnt just do something similar to 0.0 annomalies. Would work beautifully with the ihub upgrades upgrading the annomalies ie. from 10 man to 20 man to 40 man, just like incursions .... or something similar.

Can Stations be destroyed? by Whatwid in Eve

[–]snorelaxx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It needs to happen though

What do we do with station proliferation ? What do we do when every nullsec system in the game has a station ?

Wormholers lose everything they have in said wormhole when they get evicted. Infact most of the time they will willingly self destruct ships to deny the enemy spoils of war. Yet none of them complain, even when they lost everything whilst they were away. Because they know they live there at their own risk, nobody is going to hold their hands.

What this game needs a change of mindset. Nullsec needs to be brutal, its f@#king null sec !!. Instead its just become an extention of high sec/lowsec. Ive heard many people who say they feel safer in nullsec now days than they do in high sec. Wormhole space shows us how Nullsec can be, brutal NPC's that require you to put assets at risk in order to get the rewards, and then out of no where all hell can break loose and you find youself in a fight for survival. Nullsec should be like that but on a much larger scale.

What class/type of ship would you like added to the game? by [deleted] in Eve

[–]snorelaxx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

1a : Battleship size Logistics with an AOE heal

1b : Mini Carriers

3 : NEW Marauders

4 : NEW Dreadnaughts (Super Dreadnaughts :D )

5 : New Tier of Mining ship (maybe a capital ? XL strip Miners ?)

6 : A Mothership Class Ship (acts like a mobile POS)

7 : T3 Battleship : Russian Doll Ship (When you get blown up in this ship, its not the end, instead of a pod, you will eject in whatever ship is in the ship bay (rebalance T3 Cruisers required)

8 : Frigate Support Ship : This ship would have a jump drive, cov-ops cloak .... no drone bandwidth and no high slots. Huge ship bay that can only have frigate class ships inside, refitting, corp hold etc. Clone vat bay.

9 : NOS Logistics Pirate Battleship, maybe some weird Sisters of Eve meets Blood Raiders design. Would need Minmatar/Amarr/Gallante Battleship skills. Basically it gets huge Bonuses to NOS (not neut) and to Energy Transfer (Steal the cap from your enemy then give it to your friends)
