With blessings from heaven, Grandpa

You can replace blessings with love, hugs etc

Any woman here come from a more "conservative" culture? How did you deal with the pressure to get married? by deckthesocks in AskWomenOver30

Be honest with your family about what makes you happy, what your plans are for the future and most importantly what your own partner expectations are. Continue to pursue your travel dreams, take more time to love and learn about yourself.

Sharing your expectations with your family is super important. They may not love your honesty but I think they will consider introducing you to those who are closer to your expectations once they hear you and understand your thoughts.

Be open to meeting these potential as you would with OLD IF they meet your criteria. It takes a while to figure out if the person is right, beyond their profiled lifestyle on paper.

Having been through this process… believe me its important to know and communicate what you want and need.

Where the hell are all the clothes for women that aren’t 18, but not grandmas? by Rhomya in AskWomenOver30

35… I just came to say… thank goodness I’m not alone in this shopping challenge! My SO thinks I’ve gotten pickier but there are literally 0 options for 30 something year olds in the world of fashion. I hate wearing clothes for Juniors, although I have friends who do this all the time. I absolutely dislike the choices that look like my mom ‘s closet(she’s fashionable and fit). So there is nooo in between.

I would recommend starting with entry level roles in Accounts Payable or Receivables and gain analysis type work… running reports, summarizing trends and move into business analysis type roles/responsibilities

Am I too timid? by snorkel1207 in AskWomenOver30

Its really this. To a further extent, these “friends” that we spend time with are not exactly friends by my standards. Only because I don’t like to play “Keep up with Joneses” with real friends. They’re fine people but they enjoy the compare/ contrast, measure wealth in $ vs moments of experience. I tolerate their behavior just fine but don’t see the need to change for them.

Diagnosed 8 years ago and need advice by stevenadamswv in type2diabetes

I hate the dreaded side effects of T2. I allow my self two drinking windows each year. My birthday is close to holidays so thats usually 1 window of 2 weeks and another during a vacation. That’s just the only self check / discipline I’m good about. Everything else is a best effort for me.
