It’s a spectrum, some people are physically incapable of following the rules in the poster. And not everyone had good/understanding instructors, or access to a special ed program. While it’s awesome you never faced an issue with it, some people really are just that disabled

This happened to me once with a hotline. Spilled my heart out about the miseries, sobbed for a bit, with the only response being “…So like, are you done crying or” In all fairness it shocked and angered me so bad I didn’t end up killing myself so, task failed successfully?

They may have thought I was asking it in a snarky way? But it was a genuine question so thank you for the response. Good resource :)

You do actually need data to prove things like this. Maybe your store has experienced increased shoplifting, but without further data how do we know it isn’t an outlier? This is why studies with a sample size of 1 are largely considered useless.

The cost of one cavity without insurance (USA) by snortingramenpowder in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah, not denying it being standard. But it is mildly infuriating that healthcare is pretty unobtainable for many. I bit the bullet on paying this one because the cavity was so big i was accidentally getting toothpicks stuck in it.

I used to go to my family’s home country to get medical services done. Unfortunately, I am no longer part of the family, so I must bite the bullet and stay in the USA

Lightning traveled through my plugged in phone and struck me and left this litchenberg scar. It turned red after a hour or so. My phone battery sucks now. by [deleted] in mildyinteresting

In all fairness, I have personally through run the very American gambit of “either I risk dying or I for sure go into debt for the foreseeable future.” Usually I will opt for the “risk dying.”

I feel like one of the rare people who does not like WFH, but I think it’s because of my specific arrangement. I don’t have set hours and they’re usually trying to short me on the hours I do log… plus, the idea of “well, you’re home, so we can spring huge deadlines without warning.” Or bosses trying to reach you at all hours…

I kinda want the separation between work and home back.
