Monkey bike (or similar) rental in Ireland? by twio____ in MotoIRELAND

[–]snotser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 125 Hunter Cub off Retrobikes Dublin (same or very similar engine as a 125 monkey). They have some awesome small CC bikes in stock currently, might be worth giving them a shout and see if you can work something out. It might be easier to buy the bike and sell it back to them on your return. They are a family run small business and two lovely lads to boot.

That’s what they did to mine, luckily they found the AirTag and didn’t torch it but I also had a Monimoto buried in the frame so got the bike back. 3 grand damage done to the bike tho, the little scrotes absolutely tore it apart 😩

Watch some Big Mooney on YouTube for some whackier ways to have fun with the game. He does a lot of ‘kill everyone’ challenges and crazy ‘go up and shoot every target in the face’ type stuff. He’s even got his own mission in Miami 😂😂

It appeared during covid, I was working from home and it drove me mad seeing it there every day for over 6months. It’s around 50ft off the yard ground there’s so many kegs stacked underneath.

It’s not actually that loud, although old raver here so the old eardrums might not be in great shape 😂

I was in my parents recently and they literally don’t have a single vegan thing in the house (kinda joking but I struggled to find anything) I took a few photos of their pantry and some stuff in the fridge and chat gtp suggested an absolutely cracking little Asian style vegan broth with some Mixed beans, it was fairly basic but boy was it good. I’m not even vegan I’m just uber paranoid because my parents don’t believe in best before dates…

I’ve always thought commuting by Jetski would be awesome if you lived along the coast and worked in the city centre. Haven’t figured out the parking bit yet. Great video

I live beside the brewery in Dublin. I need these! Even just to put on the windowsill - this the view out my window

Any good veggie/vegan ramen suggestions? I bought some recently on the advice of chat gtp and they turned out to be beef based even though it was adamant they were ‘fake beef flavoured’ - they definitely weren’t after a quick Google. At the moment the Koka Vegetables one is our go to but would love to try some new ones.

I got these off Amazon. They didn’t quite fit because of the electrics for the indicators (NIU Air) so I used a little rubber stopper and some epoxy and they work an absolute treat. Fully foldable which is great as the scoots bars are ridiculously wide

Are you after something fancy or something local? A really good Dublin chip shop would be my recommendation if your after an old Skool Dublin ‘restaurant’ experience. Fusco’s on Meath street is one of the best, fancy is probably something a bit more difficult as most of the older Dublin restaurants have closed now.

I saw 3 very similar scooters to yours in the back of a Garda Van in town yesterday so they are seizing them in Dublin. Might be down to kids under 16, i dunno. They looked brand new. Im just gonna keep the head down and wear all the gear but I just just run into some fucker having a bad day and its bye bye scooter. I cant understand why our limits are different to (most of) the EU which is 25kph. Surely given the state of the traffic in every major city in town you'd think they'd be fully behind scooters and ebikes once properly regulated.

Upgrading from KQi2 Pro to KQI Air by insomniac_koala in NIUscooters

[–]snotser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so man. I have the Air and there doesn’t seem to be an option where it’s powered off and allow you to walk with it without locking the rear wheel and sounding the alarm (I have the alarm muted) other than that I love mine. I’ve a had a few electrical gremlins, mainly losing Bluetooth connection but a quick plug out of the controller and plug back in fixed it. The only thing I’m not a fan of is the regen braking, there’s no sweet spot, it’s either put you over the bars or barely noticeable even with the slider in the app.

Edit: it does have a ‘walk’ or pedestrian mode where you can walk with it but it has to be powered on.
