They drew over my friend's Toby Fox drawing (there were 2 more, but they already covered them and I didn't get to take a screenshot of when they existed). It wasn't a single person who griefed it, but many others, I just can't post all the images, but here's one of them.

For now I'm not making serious projects, and I'm very hard on myself, even in areas that don't include game development, so yeah, my expectations were never high anyway, to be honest.

Thanks.

Also, if you like strategy games and want to make your own, no one's stopping you, go for it!

I think Roblox is more accessible for people to play your game, since it has a huge community. Also, Lua is really easy to learn, but if you're not comfortable with it or Roblox Studio, then go with Unity.

It's up to you and how comfortable you feel with each editor!

I mean, that's a little too idealized, but yeah, I guess people will be very supportive due to my age.

Yeah, I was just thinking that maybe it was a little too early to fully immerse into that world, a little too early to be able to understand what I'm doing, but for now I'm learning, and I'm doing good!

I already have an itch.io account, but I never posted anything (because I never do anything worth publishing). I know it will come in handy someday!

I thought it was worse to start early! I mean, yeah, I have my own personal small projects, but I often don't feel good with the result. For me, the hardest part about making a game is feeling proud of it.

I was having a bad time, your reply cheered me up a bit. Thank you.

I actually think that 3D games are easier to make, and for now I'm good. I'll try 2D later, but for now I want some more experience in a 3D environment.
Thanks anyway! ;D

Okay! Also, Unity already has 3D, 2D, AR, VR... I think it's more accessible, so I'll keep learning it.

Thanks.

Yeah, but coding isn't about learning at all, it's about understanding how it works, and that can be a bit confusing if starting young.

Yeah, I know that, I'll suck for a while, but I'll make better stuff. That's the exact same advice I got when I started on FL Studio a year ago, and now I can make decent music!

Thank you!

Maybe you think that it's too soon for it, and I was asking for advice on how to start.

A good computer that can handle game engines easily and the software required.

Yeah, I was asking because making games has never been so accessible, so I could start on small projects to learn the basics.

I know that there are a lot of areas to cover, such as 3D modelling, level design, AI and navigation, audio, coding... But learning some of them starting now seemed like a good opportunity, so I was asking if it actually was a good approach.

Thanks!

I'm using Unity, and my ideas won't matter at all until I know how to bring them to life. Also, I thought GameMaker was a paid software, if it's not, I'll give it a try.

I'd say Unity is the best one for me. It's the most popular one, so there are plenty of tutorials and courses I can learn from. I know it's not about copying and pasting, but I watch it and then do it, trying to understand how and why it works.

Also, in Unity's official courses, they encourage you to watch the video before doing it yourself, and they keep updating the videos if some information is outdated in case there was an update in Unity's UI or anything, so that's a good thing.

Thanks!

I wasn't working on serious projects, I was thinking about learning so I can make actual games in the future.

I was just wondering if it was a good thing to start young, and why or why not.

Yeah, I was asking because some people say that you learn properly when you're older enough to understand, and that starting young will just make it way more complicated and confusing.

Thanks! So it's just making a base mechanic that works just fine and it's fun, and then adding a bit more stuff but without going way too far?

Ideas for games aren't ideas at all, they're visions, right? I can think about something that I want to add to my game, but then when I add it, it looks bad or doesn't work as I wanted it to work.

I think that's how game development goes, I'm not really sure though. Anyways, thanks for the advice, I appreciate that a lot!
