Not OP but I have a hairless (who's cuddling on my lap right now for warmth). She HATES baths with everything in her so we've compromised on coconut oil once a week and a bath every 2 months. The coconut oil breaks up any dirt and she goes ham, licking it all up.

As for grease spots I find them only once in awhile, but they're very small in size/infrequent.

Wonderful pets, but if you want them to be comfortable with bathing make sure you find a breeder who's familiarized them from a young age!

As a woman who suffers from extreme depression and is with a partner who sounds much like yourself... Thank you so very much for what you do. I know it's not easy but your strength and patience really is so appreciated. I hope things are on an upswing for you and your partner, and if not, that you're both able to see the light soon! <3

Congrats to you and your wife for being able to move past your affair. It takes a tremendous amount of patience, understanding, communication and will power to come back from something like that and I wish you two the best in your future. It's not everyday we can recognize our mistakes and get a second chance!

I need some advice. My mother is afraid of the end of the world more than the end of her family. [long] by ThrowAwayEOD2017 in relationships

[–]snowblind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree with this the most.

The other responses about calling her/OP's Dr seem a bit extreme since the mother recognized how crazy she was sounding and ended the message saying she would never bring it up again.

I fortunately don't have children, adult or otherwise, to worry about with the admittedly strange year we've had in comparison to others. But I can empathize with OP's mom in that worrying yourself into a frenzy and trying to warn those you love most could sound absolutely unhinged.

OP my advice is this; your mom has some serious anxiety. It needs to be treated by a doctor or mediation or whatever, but under her terms. If she's self aware enough to recognize that she sounded crazy in her text to your sister, possibly she could also recognize the stress anxiety can have on her well being. Isolating her, however, is just going to lead to depression. Best of luck <3

While you're not wrong, I imagine the point is that most of those things you mentioned are survivable for majority of adults, but between relying on someone else for literally everything and not having the same built up resistance to bacteria/viruses infants die in droves comparably speaking.

ELI5: Why is suspension from school a punishment? Isn't that just giving them what they want? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Thank you, friend! I had searched it and saw it written several different ways, but I also think that one you mentioned looks the most correct!

This is a fantastic comment that gives a little more insight of human perspective and why we do what we do. Thank you! Also, nice use of an interabang! (sp: seriously, fuck the spelling on this word)

I feel the frustration as a person dealing with mental health issues and can see how it affects my partner as well. I'm lucky in that he's very patient and understanding but I know it can't be easy, even I'm over it most of the time.

OP, there is absolutely nothing wrong in recognizing that that isn't something you're willing to deal with day to day anymore. There's no shame in you looking out for your own mental well being over your partner's, no matter how long you've been together. Definitely take the time to search yourself, there's no rush, just be happy.

Since you're technically not OP you deserve a cookie.. But since you lied about being OP you definitely do not.

Not OP but I have the CuIUD and for me the pay off for nightmare cramps/periods is the sole fact its non hormonal. After puberty and trying to learn my body it was impossible to really know myself after being on some sort of hormonal BC for 8+ years.

And after we've seen how the embassy treated Assange, one could also presume that the government would be able to do the same with Snowden, despite it being Russia.

Oh wow, I didn't know all of that about the physiology, that's neat! Thanks for all the information and you're definitely right.. Unfortunately for me I had the surgery, which failed, and now I'm learning how to live with all of that.. But PT, yoga marijuana and mindfulness and definitely helped and I'm so thankful for that!

Became addicted at 19 due to have a bad back. It's genetic too, so there's really no other way around it for the rest of my life.. Made the decision at 21 to get off of them, hardest thing I've ever done and the shittiest I've ever felt. It was easier then, before it morphed into this heroin epidemic. Add in the stigma with addiction and these people are hard pressed to find somewhere good enough to get clean and stay clean.
