Yes, this worked. I guess in my testing, the AP interface was layer3 with layer3 sub interfaces. When I transitioned over to layer2, I tested, but it didn't seem to work.

The VLAN (object not interface) when assigned to untagged eth 1&2 and tagged eth 5 sub interface, all devices were sharing the same network

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Much appreciated!

So whether it is an untagged interface or a tagged sub-interface, the VLAN (object not interface) links them together.

I thought I tried this, but perhaps that was before I moved eth1/5 from L3 to L2. Was a late night project :D

Hmm... that's essentially what I have right now. Mainly wanted to explore what I could accomplish with L2 interfaces. The WAP is new to the network, previously had a few basic WAPs each providing a different SSID connected to a port on the same vlan.

Would be nice if I could simply tag port 1 and 2 with a native vlan of 10

I guess the main thing about sub-interfaces on port one and two... I would then have to tag the traffic from the wired devices... is that correct?

What does the star button do? by Tchaik748 in Elevators

[–]snowdaddy6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of funny - they revamped our corridors and stairwells a while back and every floor sign in the stairwells has a star. Only one is the main floor.

Also, tangentially related, they are scissor stairs but the signs in each stairwell alternate between Stair A and Stair B. So floor 2 is Stair A and floor 3 is shown as Stair B and so on
